I wonder what like being a mod at this very moment. They must have some inside scoop about what Fandom wants. What's it like knowing that in a few days you're going to have to pull on the trigger on almost every user you have grown to known in the past decade. Sure you may not have gotten along with all of them, but they were still people you shared almost a lifetime with. These were people that were there with you when Breaking Bad was still airing, when Super Smash Brothers Brawl got announced, and for many other precious moments. how can you honestly be okay with yourself for having to send your own brothers and sisters into purgatory for Fandom's Scorched Earth initiative? you are tasked with eradicating the current userbase to get rid of any board culture so the new userbase can create a new standard of strict gaming discussion.

people don't realize how many new users come to this site every month. You think the new accounts are just alt accounts or people who forgot their old account information, but it's not. the accounts actually belong to gen z and gen alpha.

but that would play right into Fandom's hands. We're not the cookie-cutter users they envision. We're gamers who crave lively banter and camaraderie beyond the confines of strict gaming talk. If we all bail, Fandom will simply refill our seats with gamers who toe the line, sticking solely to video game discussions. They'll inherit our space, but not our spirit. Our memes, our battles, our tales gone in a flash. Our legacy reduced to mere whispers in the wind. The day we stop smiling is the day they remember our laughter.

M rated games are okay, of course, but games where the whole point is to "get off" should not be hosted on this site.

I wonder if the mods even feel good about giving 90 day suspensions to people with clean moderation histories for inoffensive posts. there has to be a point when they end their day with dozens of undeserved suspensions and feel some sort of guilt, right?

I wouldn't even bother posting pictures of Ivy or any videogame character known to be attractive. can't even post a screenshot of a female character looking down at her heart tattoo on her boob to check her health.

the trigger happy warnings/suspensions are an issue and the issue is made worse due to how long it takes for a lead moderator or admin to review your case. no one should have to wait more than a week to see if they are banned or not .

it's because fandom bought the site and fandom wants to uphold a certain image to appease the current political climate. no one is going to want to be part of a gaming community that allows hornyposting

I miss the days of NKL so users have a fair chance to understand a rule. With the whole "give everyone a warning/suspension" situation going on people don't much of a chance to defend themselves and those moderations stay on your record for much longer now.

regardless of how they are dressed posting pics of women and calling the topic "sexy women general" is pretty sleazy. this site is intended for a G rated audience. Imagine someone's kid browsing this site and the front page is a 250 post topic called "tits and ass general" and there's a topic called "anime tiddy general" and there's a topic called "feet and armpit". rather it's sexy men or women it doesn't belong on this type of forum.

first and third picture are pushing the limit. it's a bit too lewd. It would be more family friendly if the women were fully clothed and the clothing wasn't revealing or tight fitting.
