I don't work in retail anymore but when I did I didn't realise I could hate the human race so much.

"We close at 5:30"
Customer comes in at 5:29 and does something that takes at least 5 minutes.

Customers arguing that they've had to spend so long in the queue, who then don't have their stuff ready.

I had my first job at a supermarket when I was 17. I'll never forget the first few days where I was always with 2 guys in their 40's and instead of asking those 2 experienced, management level guys for help, customers would always ask me, the clueless 17 year old.
