We'll unless you're telling me numbers lie and that those extra dollars in that check I got are somehow imaginary. Then I'll go ahead and fall for that so called republican bs.

FYI, the tax bill did several things that work against your interests:

1) It made the increase to your standard deduction temporary, it expires in ten years and you will go back to your old standard deduction.

2) It made the gradation method used to increase the income thresholds in the IRS tax table that determines your effective tax rate on your taxable income use a reduced inflation model, so more of your money will be taxed at higher rates over time.

The effect of 2) is gradual and zero at tax bill start, so upfront it will seem like a cut. But current you is borrowing from future you, who will pay a higher percent of your taxable income as federal income tax. And the standard deduction that would offset it will expire, leading to an overall tax hike that is gradually phased in.

These made the net cost of the cut to your income tax nearly zero to the government, and freed the bill's 1.5T budget to focus on permanent corporate tax rate cuts that are not offset by anything.

I think it's important that taxpayers understand what to expect on future tax returns so they are not caught owing a penalty.

This, Republicans, anecdotally the poor republicans I hear see really short sighted. That extra $24 a month is really awesome for them I guess. If you are that poor you should vote for dems because they are trying to implement incentives for you to escape that poverty, particularly by attempting to tax the rich at higher rates. For some reason poor republicans don't like taxing the rich though "It's their money, they earned it"....Both sides suck, the best thing you can try and do is get an education or skills from a trade school so you aren't stuck working retail the rest of your life.

Topicman I realize now american schooling is hella culturally biased

I understand your point and can see why that is frustrating, but why can't you just attach an extra sheet of paper? I would rather they print less paper then add extra space for every student especially when the majority aren't eating large complex meals. If every worksheet was customized for every student it would just be a huge waste of time.

Edit: actually, this is just stupid. If all worksheets were customized you would probably just complain about worksheets being racist because yours has more space for ingredients. Is school culturally biased, yes, probably all over the world. But, your example is just a bad example and you wanting to complain....for attention? I'm not sure why.

I actually prefer the dub because sometimes I do other things while watching so I can't always read the subs. They are both decent. Both Naruto and Shippuden were decent to me. Shippuden has more fights and scenes that I like to rewatch. It is a lot and can be slow at times but I actually enjoyed it all quite a bit. Also every time there was a flashback I would skip ahead, they come up pretty often. Also skip filler and you can get through it pretty fast.

Boruto sucks so far though, I stopped watching that.

Why stop at circumcision? "My parents had NO RIGHT to conceive me" don't they even know I should have a choice on whether I'm alive or not. Conception shouldn't happen without the fetus consent.

In DSM-V, a book that is used to list criteria for every mental illness, they actually thought about removing gender dysphoria but if they did this then no procedures, medications, therapies, etc... would be covered by insurance so it is one of the reasons it was left in it.

Anyone who wishes to come here should just be able to. I can't understand how anyone can know our history and feel they have any more right to be here than someone who was born across an imaginary line.

That's a fair point but you have to consider when immigration was open in the past it's because the US had abundant space and work opportunities. With rapid automization and rising housing cost because of inc demand, there isn't really a place for "everyone" it sucks for those people sure, but that's just the way it has to be. Immigration clearly isn't perfect now but just letting everyone come here who wants to is a really terrible idea. And that isn't even considering those who want to come here to "hurt" Americans (i.e. terrorism)
