TopicHow did you choose SNES over Sega Genesis, or vice versa?

My dad got me an NES when I was 4 (1987). I'm not sure if I even knew what a video game really was at the time. Originally he meant to get it as a bonding tool but that didn't happen. Anyway what few games I had and later rented I really enjoyed.

Later in life I got an SNES for my 10th birthday (1993). Among my friends one had a Genesis which I found a little fun, but thought Nintendo had the better games. Then I had a Korean friend who had a Super Famicom and disk system so I saw a number of games through him.

As time went on I stuck with Nintendo as they had the games and characters I enjoyed the most. I did however buy a used Playstation in 2002 as I wanted to buy the MegaMan titles that were coming out for it, and some friends gave me other games I enjoyed playing on theirs (like Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, and Armored Core)

I think that's why Big Bad Beetleborgs worked out better. That show began with kids as the stars while Blake Foster was thrust into a role on a show aimed at teens. Whereas in Japan the shows were aimed more at kids as well. Tommy and Jason's White and Gold Ranger counterparts were children over there and had no issue.

As for the Beetleborgs, Wesley Barker (Drew) was 12, Herbie Baez (Roland) was 13, and Shannon Chandler (Jo) was 10. The show wasn't amazing but the ratings were good enough to keep it going for 88 episodes.

The concept of having the characters as teens was of course to appeal to a younger demographic. At the time it was common for studios to hire young adults in the roles which has been made fun of now since the early 90s.

When Mighty Morphin premiered Austin St. John (Jason), and Thuy Trang (Trini) were the youngest at 19. Walter Jones (Zack), and Amy Jo Johnson (Kimberly) were 22, David Yost (Billy) was 24, and Jason David Frank (Tommy) just turned 20 when his character joined the show. All of the characters I'd assume were meant to be 15-16 years old.

In comparison to their Japanese counterparts. Yuta Mochizuki (Red) was 25 (portraying 24), Seiju Umon (Black) was 25 (portraying 27), Hideki Fujiwara (Blue) was 20 (portraying 19), Takumi Hashimoto (Yellow) was 14 (portraying 15), Reiko Chiba (Pink) was 17 (portraying 18), and Shiro Izumi (Green) was 31 (portraying 32).

As for the current movie cast.

ovsTCmr

Dacre Montgomery - Jason (far right) 22
Naomi Scott - Kimberly (second in) 24
Ronald "RJ" Cyler - Billy (far left) 22
Rebecca Gomez aka Becky G - Trini (bottom) 20
Ludi Lin - Zack (third in) 32/33

Second annoyance for me is the aftermath. So many inconsiderate slobs leave the theater with their cups still in the holders, popcorn everywhere, etc. Really you can't clean up after yourself or for that matter get the food in your mouth?

Oh you want to change every folder simultaneously. I honestly don't know. You can't just do it to each one as you go? How many folders do you intend to have open at the same time? Also default is usually the Details view. At least it was on mine for most.

I've never had a credit card, and will likely never get one. My sister has had them, and handles them poorly.

The credit union I'm a member of issues debit cards, so I have one of those. Other than this I have purchased pre-paid Visas or Mastercards for online purchases (mostly Amazon).

My aunt and uncle have both had a serious moment in their lives over the last 15 years or so. My uncle had a heart attack, and my aunt beat breast cancer. I found them to be two of the most intelligent people I knew. They questioned everything.

A few years ago after said incidents they began having personal problems with some people we've all been friends with for 25-30 years, and preferred not to hang out with them anymore. Whenever I bring them up they always had something negative to say. As a result they also wanted to meet new people and chose a church as the best place to do it.

At the time my uncle stated they were only going for that regard and didn't care about the faith at all. As I put it they manipulated the system to get ahead. Bought a bible just to have it for appearances. Got up in ranks to the point they were deacons or having the pastor over for tea. Over time finding something they didn't like about the church and moving on to another one.

However over time they've become more cynical. Subscribing to religious channels on TV, partaking in all events, and in some cases running them. My aunt appears to believe in it now. I think my uncle is just along for the ride. "Happy wife, happy life", and stays because of the benefits he claims the church will bring as they get older (they are both in their early/mid 60s). They've become even more distant after my dad died (uncle is his brother). To be honest if I weren't related by blood I think they wouldn't speak to me.

Ever play Smash Bros with friends that just want to do no weapons on Final Destination?

Then there's always some silly rule. You can't do this, or this was banned.

Just have fun!

Like with most religions as you already stated they are indoctrinated since birth so they believe it. Those that join one much later in life feel it will give them the answers they seek to many questions, and in the end believe in something other than themselves.

is X really considered a "spinoff" series? i've always viewed it as an updated, reworked continuation of the main series.

For the sake of this topic I suppose it is? Yes I'd agree it just an updated sequel (which it is), but Zero, ZX, and supposedly Legends very long after that are all part of the same universe, but as these games go on the mechanics change alot.

1997: I was in Grade 9. Anime was getting big and Pokemon was starting out.
1992: We had just moved, started a new elementary school in the middle of Grade 3. Of all the listed years this was probably the best one.

I recently rewatched the first 2 seasons of the original cartoon for the podcast I'm part of. The original is the one I'm most familiar with. I did see a bit of the 2003 series, Turtles Forever which I really enjoyed, and only a couple episodes of the current series which I hear is really good.

I really like the first two 90s films, which are my favorite overall.
