I used to play MKDS religiously in the mid 00s. A username I still use came to me because of MKDS. I needed an Aim username so I thought of ICanSnake because of snaking, only that since I was still a kid I never actually was able to snake. I think in a video I saw before fighitng the boss he even said he wouldn't mind if it was harder than Malenia as that would be a fitting end to Elden Ring. I'm sure he will have the same outlook at the end of this video.

I dont care that Phil is bad at games and I will even admit that sometimes his badness is exaggerated. Being good at a game is not a prerequisite for making good content about it.

Its funny that Phil is bad at games because hes a 40 year old narcissist throwing temper tantrums blaming the game for his own lack of ability every single time his straight forward run straight ahead and push the attack button approach is even slightly rebuked by the game.

You see glimpses of competence when he's not mad - his blanka is legit dangerous when his mind was calm. I could almost see the Evo contender in him in those moments, but anger/narcissism has crippled him more than a "janky" controller ever could.

Elden Ring stays tough, but fair giving you everything you need to succeed with that one lucky run.

Swings and roundabouts. Most of us are friends on Steam already, and in the event someone isn't then the usual method is to give a game of the winners choosing, much like what you're doing. Alternatively, seeing as this event finishes with just enough time to become friends, wait the 72 hours to receive a gift card and still be able to spend it in the sale (by just under 20 hours or so), we now have another option.

The advantage of a gift card is it doesn't have to be spent there and then and it can be used to offset the purchase of a more expensive game. Me personally I prefer the gift card over an amount set aside for games.

Makes sense. Just wanted to proactively cover not being able to do it for international currencies too. Think my first time doing this had that problem.

Taking into account the min time you have to be friends with someone before you can give a gift card, is there any downside to my way of doing this compared to the norm?
