Lufia 1 > Lufia 2

the rest of the world is wrong.

Lufia 1 has better music and true dungeon grinding, as well as an absolutely massive world that honestly dwarfs most JRPGs in terms of towns and upgrades.

Guess it just wasn't for you.

Yikes at this opinion

Lufia 2 is objectively better in every way

Alright I watched Iron Man II, am watching wrassling so I can't give immediate thoughts but my god that was actually really fucking good and I love the teases, I'll gush more about it tomorrow but one even as a filthy casual that was Captain American's Shield, as far as I know HAMMER is a somewhat deal and the closing credits we see Thor's Hammer which is the next movie. That was fun as shit! Such a cleanser from Hulk which was a movie I didn't like, that was better than Iron Man 1 though I'll admit Pepper was significantly weaker in this one lol. She was a breakout in I, in 2, she was pretty much there.

This is not a very popular opinion, in fact a lot of people say Iron Man 2 sucks. I personally dig it, but I think I prefer the original over it. But good to hear you liked it- interested to see how you feel about Thor.

They just assumed you knew who he was

Have you been a fan of any comic book movies in the past? Ever seen Hulk (2003)?

I feel like for the time Incredible Hulk was released (2008), they realized that it was a reboot only 5 years later, and they just didn't want to retread and spend a lot of time on the origin story since it had just been done a few years prior. IIRC they retold the origin through opening credits?

Totally makes sense though that watching the movie without any previous context can make it a little awkward for the first time viewer. Of all the MCU movies, I'd say Incredible Hulk feels the most disconnected from the rest of the pack, so i think your assessment of it is fair.

It gets better from here :)

As of right now I'm looking at ~$2,000 in unrealized losses. So if I don't sell I'll be paying taxes on those gains (that are now gone) plus bagholding.

Sometimes my genius amazes even me.

Are you going to have to pay taxes because you sold the stock? Or are you going to have to pay taxes because you held on and never sold anything and the stock was high and then went low?

I just saw that my local theater has stopped playing it and the ones further away are playing it at inconvenient times.

Question I have- is there anything in Eternals that looks like it may lead into Spider-man NWH?

Please just give Yes/No with no spoilers/elaboration (Yes being something leads into Spider-man, No being it is standalone)

One of my favorite momnets of all time was in early 2014 on RAW, when Daniel Bryan joined the Wyatt Family because he lost a match. He was tagging with Bray Wyatt against The Usos in a tag team cage match. Bryan had the Wyatt gear on and by the end of the match after Bryan/Wyatt lost to the Usos, Bryan shed the gear and turned on Wyatt.

It's one of my favorite moments because this was right at the peak of Bryan's rise in popularity. If you watch the moment, the fans in the arena are going bananas to see Bryan take off the Wyatt gear. There's a moment where he's slowly doing the Yes taunt to signify his running knee, and you can see the entire crowd behind the cage doing it with him and shouting.

That moment still gives me goosebumps

Hey man I wanna know the release order and if people can gush and rant to me that's why I made this topic. I'm trying to get into the fandom and so far the first Iron Man was awesome so I think I will migrate into it.

I think Scar was just saying you don't need D+'s order because most people here are enthusiastic enough about it and could tell you off the top of their head

That said, I recall D+ having the movies listed in release order at some point. Not sure if they incorporated the series in the same way. You can look it up pretty easily online though once you get to that point.

But off the top of my head (some names of shows may potentially have spoilers, read at own risk if you don't already know what shows exist):

Wandavision
Falcon and Winter Solider
Loki
What If?
Hawkeye

Alright. So is every D+ movie good besides Spiderman 1/2 which I am willing to rent? I've done some light research. By good I mean in order lol

Yeah I believe Incredible Hulk and the 2 Spiderman movies are the only ones not on D+ (and Eternals, since it's still in theaters, but by the time you get through 22+ movies it'll probably be on there anyways).

You'll probably get a lot of feedback from other users about which other ones to skip. Popular ones are Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Thor 2 (Dark World), and even some character's origin stories.

Personally, I'd say take the time to watch them all. My least favorite is probably Thor Dark World, but even that movie has some aspects of it that get revisited later on. Some of the movies you'll like/love less than others, but give them a chance. The whole story is quite an experience, you might as well try to get as much of it as you can. And always check the mid/end credits of movies to make sure you're not missing anything leading to the next movie.

And once you get there, check out the D+ shows too. Those are all much later, after Avengers 4.

Yeah. Overall, if you're a comic book/cbm fan, I'd say watch it once. If it's too much of a hassle or you can't get your hands on it or just want to skip the unnecessary, Incredible Hulk is one of the few movies within the MCU that I would recommend skipping.

It is canon to MCU, but it's not necessarily essential viewing.

If you're referring to what I put under spoilers, it's not nearly as impactful.

Back then we weren't sure the movies were going to be built into this cinematic universe. If you're watching now, you know there are Avengers movies that feature all of these heroes, that's why you're going back to watch.

At the time this hadn't been done to that extent in the comic book movie universe.

I wasn't responding to your point or their point.

We don't yet have context to whether the Shang-Chi cameo will be important to any of their future appearances.

I still maintain Ross is the only character of importance that shows up later (so far). Not including What If?

I will say watching these movies as they were released, it was cool as shit to see Tony Stark show up at the end of Incredible Hulk, pretty much confirming there was going to be a shared universe.

Now that we know all of this exists, that moment isn't as impactful. The moment is cool to see as a fan, but overall not necessary.

As others have said Ross is the only major component of importance that you see later on. And I don't think you'll be lost later on if you don't watch this movie.

tbh i agree with them somewhat except the last few remarks... the game isn't serious at all, there is no competitive mode whatsoever (the ranking mode is well known for being absolutely busted and it doesn't mean anything -- you can get to the highest rank just by playing).

You can play it casually without issue, not just "here and there". I've put in about 1200 hours this year and am still having fun. The balance issues are kind of whatever. I think they vastly overstate how big of a deal some of those things are. I rarely get mean people, hackers, etc in my games. I just goof off with friends.

Pretty much my thoughts. I play casually solo and still love the game. It has it's flaws, but if you don't take the game too seriously and dedicate all of your lifeblood in this one game, it's still a fun time.
