Not defending the system but you can heavily streamline it if you don't itemize, withold, and do not claim tons of deductions. Since the shops were on site, you could still take normal classes too. You could leave school half a day and learn welding or a trade but it nuked your college options. --- You know how fads are. | furb 06/08/21 6:49:55 PM #30 | My high school and middle school were in the same building. They were connected in the middle with two cafeteria and two gymnasiums. High school had around 450 students. I think the middle school had around the same number. We had a closed campus and the school was not located in a town. You could only leave if parent or registered guardian signed you out. Kids that drove could theoretically bail, but they took attendance every period and crossed referenced it. So you would get caught cutting real quick and be in a world of trouble. Lunch was always inside; they would let you go outside for a bit the last 10 or 15 minutes if the weather was warm. *** Elementary school was one building. Built In the 60s I believe. Middle/High was one building with different wings. Built in the early 90s.
