She's right and wrong. Trump continued the 'evil corruption'. It just wasn't covered thoroughly because Trump himself was the media's focus.

The Fighter and the Kid sub is funny, but they are too harsh and edgy for the sake of it. We get it, everyone in LA is soft and s***ty. Half of them can't agree on whether Bill Burr is still the GOAT or if he got soft since he married a black woman (the lovely NIAAAAAaaa).

Yup. And now that 'us versus them' feeling is heightened from the last several years. And no matter the outcome, there will be shouts that the win is illegitimate or fraudulent. There's no COVID relief as of yet and now faith in elections and government integrity have eroded or lessened. One bad event could set things off big time.

I prefer believing the reality where it's known that things are a little more nefarious than the daily grind of "orange man is the worst". That's the bottom line and I'm sticking to it.

Doesn't mean I like that reality. Stay safe down there folks.

Several things can be true at once. Trump can be called a dick, and you'd be right to do it, but do it for the right reasons please. The Russia s*** was a farce. Several other things were nonsense. People treat this thing like it's a goddamn comic book movie. That's only one portion of the story. Hundreds of billions of dollars hinge on what the President says or does.

Like seriously, what is more realistic:

The media attacks Trump because he's a dick / bad guy (which he definitely is) and they're looking out for the regular guy?

OR

The media attacks Trump (who is conveniently a dick, and a good target), which pits 2 sides of the spectrum against each other and eats up plenty of TV time, while the people who run things/corporations get favourable breaks, avoid giving needy people any sort of reform or help, and run off to the bank?

'Business as usual' is exactly what the establishment wants. They don't want a guy like Trump peeling back the curtain on the facade. That's the real game. Trump exposed the game too much. Biden won't ruffle feathers. It's exactly what Wall Street, corporations, Silicon Valley, the media, the military, and the bad actors overseas want.

All this s*** on the news about Trump being a mean man? That's surface level pleb stuff. That's the simulation. Yeah, he is a bad guy, but they overplayed the card. If he effs with 'the money' or at least threatens to, that's the real issue. It's why when he doesn't go hard against Russia or the whole Syria situation, the media hits him hard. The higher ups want their money to roll in and that means continuing useless wars and spreading disinfo at home.

Somewhere down the line, a Republican will come along with Trump's vibe and he'll be a real s***show. I think the '-isms' and accusations that the whole media has lobbed at Trump for 4 years will actually be true, and it will be too late because everyone cried wolf with Trump.

In short, the next guy is probably going to be worse.

Disclaimer: Trump is still bad, but the media overextended themselves with their accusations.

You're clueless if you think America passed on him. His demise was fixed from the top of the party. He had juice in 2016. I think 2020 was a different feel but he had a shot.

It also doesn't help that when the chips are down, Bernie is spineless and still went on to endorse Biden after he got effed over.

The US has done simulation testing for the election jointly with Lockheed Martin and Israeli tech companies in the months leading up to this election. Some of the stuff they've toyed with is terrorist scenarios and also psychological manipulation and hacking of computers, traffic lights and polling stations. Oh and another fun thing in the playbook is to just blame the manipulation on Russia, Iran, and China.

That ain't scary at all.

That's called a "lucky guess". The deciding factor was the Comey letter and you had no way of knowing about that back then.
No the guess was just based on the enthusiasm surrounding him and his giant crowds. Hillary had to drag people kicking and screaming to her small rallies. Today he's pulling in 5 arena sized crowds in 4 DIFFERENT STATES while Biden is chilling in Wilmington to do one rally.

That was my metric for last election. But this time with the high numbers of early votes, I don't know how many of those are Biden votes. And yet again, the Trump crowd is much more fervent than the Dem crowd.

The Russian dossier on Trump was a shaky play if this article is to be believed. In before "this isn't mainstream news!". Yeah, I get that. But why else did the collusion story vanish? The whole dang system and the high ups at both parties want him gone.

I am not trying to be confrontational. I just think that independent media asks interesting questions that the mainstream glosses over.

Batman and Joker kind of evolved into a ying and yang or an order versus chaos relationship. This probably started with The Killing Joke in the late 80s. Before that, he was a homicidal gangster and then a trickster, and then back to a maniac in the early 70s.

Bane's claim to fame was being the guy who finally broke the Batman in the Knightfall comic book story.

Thanos is damn unbeatable but Drax is destined to be the guy to beat him in the comics. Or something like that.

Superman is near unbeatable. Doomsday was created in order to create a gimmick shock event where Superman actually dies (The Death of Superman in 1992-93)

I love those 4 movies but I think people are really sleeping on how silly Batman and Batman Returns are. Forever and B&R gets all the goofing and hate. But the first movie is saved by Nicholson hands down. Returns is nearly a trainwreck but the villains make it fun.

The Burton movies sit precariously on a fine edge and the Schumacher movies fell off of it.
