Points 2 and 3 are definitely true. I cant say I have an opinion one way or the other on point 1 regarding Nora.

But all 3 points are pretty substantial points and are kinda why the shows ending really put a dark spot on the show for me.

No end spoilies

I'm only a couple of missions away so just wondering if I should work to complete it 100% (I'm not always a completionist) or not. Do you get anything for 100% or for completing specific side missions over others (other than the obvious perks you might receive from said mission).

What's stupid about it? It's not a speedrun, it's just a proof of concept. People find joy in digging around in a game's code and finding obscure stuff you can do. I think it's pretty interesting.

If that's all it is, I have no judgment on it

Probably more my misunderstanding/assumption based on the OP, win which I assumed this was being meant as a "speedrun" or that the game was actually beaten in that time as if he actually beat it.

But yeah if it's just manipulation of code and that's all it was presented as, cool

She came in for the job interview and I asked her if she knew how to make coffee and take notes and she said "Yes Mr. McIntosh" and I hired her right away!!

Then I went home and made love to my wife thinking of the secretary and all was right with the world!!

Honestly though, I'm in my early 30s, and it's all about your perspective.

I got into about the best shape I've ever been in last year. I lost about 35 pounds, and am the lightest weight I've been for the past 10-15 years. I do kinda feel like I'm hitting my prime as far as looks, confidence, etc.

Just get into a mindset of improving your life and stay away from the mindset that age determines your worth/health/etc.

It's just a number. You decide how age affects your life.

I'm getting married in June and what my fianc suggested we do (but we haven't talked too extensively about it yet), I think is each of us contributes an amount of our salary into a joint account for each check. That specific amount would be based on the total percentage that each of us contributes toward our total income.

So for example if together we make 100k as a dual income household, but I make 60k and she makes 40k, 60% of my paycheck goes into our joint account and 40% of her paycheck goes into our joint account.

This account would be used for bills, household items, date nights, etc.

The rest of our paycheck stays with us.. I think.

I don't know, we have to talk more about it lol

As for private property, there seems to be some division on that, so this will be a bit lengthier. Many socialists historically seem to be fine with what they deem "personal property", which they see as individual possessions that people freely choose to purchase or make. The problem arises when that property can be monetized or used to produce wealth or other products, such as a house you rent out to generate side income. Authoritarian socialist governments like the Soviet union would often confiscate personal property that was being used in such a way. The reasoning was that if people besides the individual owner could benefit from it, it would be better utilized as public property under government management instead of leaving it to the individual, who they believed would use their property to enrich themselves rather than to benefit their fellow citizens.

So basically, the fear under this could be that anyone who buys a house for rental properties/airbnbs, could end up having it seized by the government? Interesting.

This new government would redistribute wealth & the means of production and abolish private property, and enforce equality across the population with the eventual goal being that this government would willingly dissolve itself once the Communist Utopia had been achieved and was no longer necessary.

Thanks for your explanation. This is one of the areas where I get stuck. What would this mean for people who own a house, or want to buy a house for example? And is what you have laid our what "modern" socialists, or people who are called socialists (like Bernie) actually want to see happen, or is that just what they have been branded with by the Republicans?

Fair enough. I don't join the topics on this board as much as everyone else, I can usually tell the accounts that are regularly in these political discussions but I can't always tell which side they are on unless I'm reading their specific comments in whatever specific topic I'm in

DeadBankerDream posted...
You are intentionally trying to derail the topic.

I'm really not, just looking for info. You guys have already proven DuncanWii doesn't know what socialism is, so not sure what the point of the rest of the topic would be other than everyone else just laughing at him (which, i'm not really defending him against since he's kinda made his bed)

LordFarquad1312 posted...
Please point out where in this topic, or any other for that matter, I have mocked someone for their ignorance unless they were using their misinformation in an intentionally malicious manner.

Also, it's not my responsability to educate you, and quite frankly gain nothing by doing so.

Sorry, I was basically generalizing your point against the rest of the topic, and not specifically saying you as a user shamed or mocked him. So I take that back. I just notice on GameFAQs its often a "no, I'm not going to help you" point of view when it could be a lot more helpful (and in this case my argument would no longer be to help Duncan since other users have said he doesn't listen, so in this case I guess it would just be me)

But if you're not going to "educate me" as you put it, then that's that and maybe someone else is generous enough to do so

P.S.- I generally space out when i'm reading political things which is why I was hoping someone could explain it to me in terms I might understand.

Because Google exists and I respect your intellect enough to trust you know how to use it

Why does everyone default to this?

It's always "lets laugh at people for not having knowledge or misunderstanding but then lets turn our back instead of educating them"

Sure, I could google it, but then other people who read this topic that don't know what socialism is also don't get the info on socialism that they could gain from someone just explaining it

I say this not as someone on Duncan's side, but as someone who just never really looked into the basic principles of socialism.

This reminds me of a thought I had about the criminal justice system not long ago.

Let's say hypothetically, someone is able to be revived from death.

And let's say hypothetically, someone like Ted Bundy is revived from death.

Ted Bundy was someone who was convicted for the murders he was charged with, and was put to death by the death sentence.

So if he were revived from death at the age he was when he died- do we let him live a life? Does he get to just go settle down somewhere and we have to wait to see if he's going to commit a crime again? I mean technically, he served out his sentence by being put to death.

So he fulfilled his punishment for his crimes. Would they have to modify written laws and punishments to say that by fulfilling this punishment, you have to be put to death and stay dead?

Right now I'm on a deal for Spotify unlimited where I got 3 months for the price of one month. Once that's up, I'm likely to just cancel it and use normal spotify or another streaming service.

With normal Spotify, am I able to create a playlist and share it with people? Will I have access to only a limited number of songs or certain songs are only on unlimited?

Basically I want to create a spotify playlist for my wedding and then hand out a card for people to be able to listen to the playlist with the link on the card. But not sure how possible this is if I, or my guests, only have unpaid spotify.

How could I achieve this? Basically kinda like giving out a CD, but since CDs are becoming obsolete I wanted to go digital.
