The core is banner is most where tickets go in hopes of Elara Awakening/Glint+/USB2 or Tyro Awakening, the pool is small so chances are you have a high chance of getting them. Otherwise just use them to help on whichever magicite or torment you need next.

I got a disco on the daily! Squall AOSB dupe :( At least it's a 8* now I guess.

I also 100 gemmed Cloud's EnDark LMR off the Genesis banner so that kinda makes up for it.

OK Awakening is amazing for almost anything besides 6* Magicite (and his enwater glint/sync is coming soon) He'll be a MVP till then.

He should also wreck Typhon with Voltech or Chain Blizzaja, his awakening is Black Magic after all.

None of the 6* Magicite have been fun so far, they're all tedious and frustrating with gimmicks that screw you over (Titan's wall and 10 turn countdown with an insane defense buff, Ramuh's electric field with overstrike attacks, Leviathan's doom BS) Ugh, but that and some torments are the only things left for me to do right now.

Geez Leviathan is a headache, he's not that hard himself but the doom gimmick is really frustrating to deal with. I'm trying the reraise everyone, for then reset the timer but it's hard to pull off because you have to have Kain jump over the 5 second doom move, so his HP isn't even with everyone else. But if you take too much time in phase 1 even if you get everyone reraised and godwall'd Leviathan will use an aoe 5 second doom. I think the key thing I'm missing is Elara USB2 or Glint because they don't have last stand or regenra.

So I tried Leviathan tonight and I got about halfway, main problem is the doom timer is way too short for how bulky this guy is, even with 2 AASBs I can't do enough damage fast enough to beat the timer, well maybe I could but he loves gimmicks that waste your time like the bubble and attacks that lower your doom count, and that stupid 5 second doom on slot 1 I have to time Kain's impulse dive to avoid. I guess I'm gonna have to make reraise just for this dumb fight huh.

Oh my bad, Rinoa's chain is QC2 not 3. Still you want to stick with her since Typhon is a DPS race so the faster you kill him the better.

Also I gotta feel sorry for poor Hades in this event, he didn't even get an attack off. Ramza IC his chain, Orlandeau and Lighting used their USBs, Agrias had gathering storm and used her USB2, second turn Lightning used her USB again, Ramza used Titan, Penelo used USB2 and everyone used Assault sabers to finish him off.

Fran won't really contribute much against Typhon beyond being an entrustbot, and Rinoa's chain has the valuable quick cast 3 on entry.

On the flip side for Syldra Fran is the better pick there if you have one of her USBs.

Manticore should be able to take out the savage mode for the most part. He did for me when I was still using Squall USB2 as my main DPS.

Have you done the Awakening Dream Select yet? If you get Squall's Awakening you can make Syldra much easier with it.

Yeah instant cast is super important for the last phase, I try to save up two USB2s on Penelo for the last phase so I can refresh Maria's enEarth and squeeze as much time as I can of Maria Awakening and Rinoa Sync, then use their AOSBs and then OSBs if he's still alive (you never want Phase 3 Ramuh to get to savage level 3!)

I did the second AOSB select for Lightning's AOSB to help with Leviathan.

I wasn't having too much luck with doublecasts, but I got the job done. Now I can save those crystals I would have used for that monk skill. Another AASB-less D??? done! Though I guess having the Ramuh magicite doesn't make it much to brag for.

Haste/shell/protect doesn't have a timer anymore! Unless you get dispelled it lasts forever (which will be helpful in these long 3 Million+ HP boss fights) Other than that yeah it was a standard event translation maintenance.

I managed 4 D??? Sub30s without Awakenings, 3, 5, T and T-0 (almost counted 12 but I guess Penelo does count) so I don't think it's as impossible as long as you have the right USBs, but I'm still baffled how anyone sub30d the FF13 one day one. I barely did with an Awakening and 6* Magicite.

I dunno I'm really tempted to do the dream select for Rinoa BUSB because I kinda stall in the first phase with Maria USB and Rinoa with her enearth LMR, build chain with them and reflected damage and then use Rinoa AOSB to get to the second phase, and I then I refresh the infusion with the Awakening and snyc, that usually gives me enough DPS to get through the second phase and about halfway through the third phase. When they run out I'm just spamming OSBs and healing USBs in hopes I can kill Ramuh before he kills me. If I had Rinoa's Brave I could stall a little longer in the second phase and save more sync time for the third phase which might finally get me that win.

(if I knew how many hours I'd waste fighting Ramuh I would have just worked 2 hours overtime during the holidays and get that $30 easy for that USB select)

Then again I don't really see offense USBs as obsolete as people try to make them out to be. You can only do so much damage in 15 seconds against bosses with 3+ million HP and savage mode layers, or multiple target gimmick bosses like Ifrit and Valefor so you will need a backup soul break. And especially with that enelement dispel crap making you waste meter and precious seconds off your Awakening/sync anyway. Having that magic damage boost and brave command would certainly give a major boon over just her super!

I don't have Elara's Awakening (wish I did, but the core banner always seems to give me dupes)

I bring Hilda because instant last stand is incredibly important, and she has bard so she can Allegro and Mage's Hymn, as well as that LM2 with a slight chance of Medica.

Deuce would probably be better with her USB2 since it's the same except boosts resistance instead of defense, but I don't have that.

I really regret not picking Rinoa's earth brave on the 500 gem select, or hell I regret not doing the USB dream select last time, I might have to pony up the next one for it.

Maaaan Ramuh is straight up the worst boss I've fought in this game so far, maybe the worst boss in any RPG I've played. So I can sorta consistently get to the third phase, but that phase straight up feels impossible! He's like as fast as Manticore, uses overstrikes and other really painful moves in phase 3, and even with last stand that electric field shit will kill someone if they're finish casting before the medica is up, and that field eats up Penelo's damage reduction barrier from the real painful moves, uses some anti heal crap and is just too fucking bulky! I already used up all my Awakening and Sync time just to get to the damn third phase on top of wasting precious Awakening/sync turns having to use Maria's USB and Rinoa's super just to get infusion back)

How the fuck did they think this boss was okay?!

You just have to mathcraft with the formula, I don't really bother with it, but there's going to be an update that shows the stats after magicite buffs in a couple months.

I got to the third phase of Ramuh, but I couldn't do anything because I ran out of awakening/sync and I couldn't cut it with Maria BSB.

This old bastard has way too much HP! On top of all the other BS he does, in the later turns of a phase almost everything he does is fatal, so I had to bring Hilda just to get there to keep giving last stands to the party, but then if you take too long Trine will paralyze everyone without enearth, so I have to use Red XIII USB1 just for Astra, but then I don't have enough meter to refresh chain.

I don't know what to do when I get to the third phase. Too many defusions, too much HP, to much micromanaging... this guy feels impossible.

Man Ramuh is really pissing me off! Who thought that overstrike attacks + damage when you take an action was a good idea? I have DPS covered fine with Maria and Rinoa but it seems like always something goes wrong with dumb electric fence junk.

I really wish Penelo had an instant last stand soul break! I either have to time her BSB2 off Red XIII's USB2 or have her use her USB2 then BSB2 it seems.

Eh I dunno, with there only really being 6* magicite and some torments left for me, maybe it might be better to use it on RoP in preparation for the neo neo torments coming up.

But even for 6* magicite I seem to have most of it covered. I think I'm ready for Ramuh, Leviathan I have to tools for a poverty clear with Kain Awakening and Lighting Glint/Brave, granted a better lightning relic would help. Ifrit is said to be pretty easy for a 6* especially with Gogo's USB, I just need a mage enwater Awakening. Shiva is also easy if you have two enFire Summoners (I have Terra, I think Ace's will be on a Dream Select soon.) Valefor, I got Squall Awakening/Laguna Chain, Fran's Awakening should dream select able by then. Alexander is pretty much a freebie with the 5th anniversary gift set of Seph Awakening/Dualcast LMR/AOSB. Diabolos well I might have to save for that one but that 5 months away anyway.

You can also use OK as a DPS with the new earth ninja ability, even though he lacks dualcast ninja he can still do decent damage and chain building because of the decreasing cast time from his pUSB.

I probably might have bit on the Lucky draw if I had more mythril, but I only have 95 right now, I'm only budgeted for the Awakening lucky and 2 draws on a fest banner with the fest mythril.

It should be easier to save mythril now since I was blowing a bunch on realm and elemental in desperation of Awakenings, but now that I beat 5 Odin's and Titan I can just focus on the next 6* Magicite (probably banner 4 for Ramuh)

Stargo is probably worth getting for Belias since Tidus and Rikku are physical attackers, though if you get a water magic awakening (or semi water like Ashe or Rinoa) you probably don't need it since he's pretty basic otherwise.

I did it for Red XIII though I haven't picked it up yet, just waiting on the fest free 30 draw just to be safe, if I do get it I'll get Edward or Alph's as insurance.

You can still use that meter to stack usbs, glints or BSBs for infusion or damage boosting. I've seen vids of Enna Kros destroying Ramuh when she has her USB +Awakening and glints (though you probably don't have anything for that character.)

Multi elemental teams are fine in torment as long as they are good at building chain count with quickcast, chases, ability double ect. Some realms like T-0 and XII have a hodgepodge of elements anyway.

If there's too many dupes or unnecessary relics you probably should just wait for a better banner. Can't you use Red XIII as an entrustbot instead? I know it sucks not using an Awakening but the enelement restriction is probably too much of a hurdle for Red to go DPS anyway.

Rinoa's the best earth mage in the game so she's going to be more likely using Chain Stonja or Meltdown, especially with her dualcast black magic.

If I can scrounge enough mythril for the fest I'll use it towards Lighting's synchro banner since I think it'd probably be wiser to tackle Leviathan since he seems much easier and I have Prompto's chain (and I need better enLighting DPS than Kain and Reno.)

Edit-Also I had no idea Cloud of Darkness was getting her Awakening/AOSB/dualcast LMR next fest as well! Oops well I take back what I said about her being a liability, but I don't think I should invest in her anyway despite the chain since Alexander is apparently really easy and I can get Seph Awakening/AOSB/LMR for free on 5th anniversary.
