It's all about what kinds of advantages the athletic society is willing to allow. We allow tall guys to dominate basketball because we find that acceptable. We don't allow 95lb boxers fight 225lbs ones because that community deems that too unfair.

I don't think so necessarily. There are very few of them to begin with.

It would be like if a top male high school tennis player was put in the women's pro league. He wouldn't win every match, would probably be dominated a time or two by the best of the best. But by virtue of being a man, he has a biological advantage and would beat a lot of the middling pro women. Would you call those fair matches?

As I understand it the vast majority of trans women athletes don't have overwhelming biological advantages over cis women athletes. So, in most cases it's like asking if it's fair for some men to have a biological advantage over other men.

I still have trouble finding substance on that. It's really hard to find good reports when they're all specifying some sort of specific metabolic catalyst for some protein or hormone or whatever. I'm too dumb to know what that's applying to.

This is the real crux of the situation.

The implication is that the very reason that the leagues are divided by gender is thrown into flux when someone who is not in those genders competes.

I'm very liberal, but even I am a little on the fence about this. What I would like to do is to hear what the person who is being sued thinks.

I feel like most status effects are meant to provide another way to harm the player rather than direct damage, and thus I can kinda see why a designer might just make a boss immune to status effects.

I think SMT does a good job with the press turn system and making where certain attacks have status effect based damage and thus cause status effects and do damage as well as possibly striking a enemies weak point.

That the weird thing, Contemporary JRPGs are totally the opposite in terms of grind as they were in the Snes ---> PS2 era, and really don't seem to have many of the egregious grinding situations (outside of things like rare items drops, and the occasion game like Disgaea)

Sorry, but this just comes off as him wanting to say he had a win in regards to the boarder situation.

After the whole situation regarding his wall came to a stop, it would seem like he needed to still secure a victory in the public's eyes, and did so in a pretty hyperbolic way.

The real question is, did he need to threaten tariffs?

I feel like Fox has been pretty upfront about wanting to work with America, but didn't want to be Trump's ***** when it came to building a wall. The fact that we had a trade agreement with Mexico before Trump said anything seems a testament to that.

Thats the problem with Trump tactics in general, he is so upfront and telling it like it is, that he comes off really easy to read, and thus a little disingenuous and transparent. Getting caught in really dumb lies doesn't help either

It's crazy that this is the one thing that would hold over from the JRPG genre.

I was playing Final Fantasy 5 and leveling up and learning class levels was quick and easy.

Now, every new game I play wants a RIDICULOUS amount of time invested.

I know people are like, "Well stop playing if you don't want to anymore", but when story elements or gameplay elements are locked behind grinding, I can't stand it.

I actually got my minor in Japanese about four years ago, have continued to "study" it, and recently have begun seriously playing Riichi Mahjong.
