Hopefully you can get the Amiibo separate, it will probably be online only through since stores barely or don't even carry amiibo anymore. My local stores changed their Amiibo shelves for Labo stuff and any amiibo left is on an accessory peg.

To be fair Locke is also a lot faster than Gilgamesh, especially dived with Trance mode. He's still ranked higher than Gilgamesh in Altena despite the weaker chain as well (though that might because of his AOSB)

If you're barely sub30ing Isgebind then those turns where he stays in the air where Gilgamesh can't reach could cost you the sub30. The only real answer Gilgamesh has is doublecast samurai if you want to keep resetting for them so Isgebind only flies once.

By the time the winter fest comes out the crystal rewards for sub30 will be gone by then there's not much point to sub30ing magicite anymore unless more Arcana is your goal. It's now or never if you want those crystals (at least for 3~ months)

Gilgamesh is a double edged sword for Isgebind over Locke where even though he has a better chain he lacks the ranged options Locke does so he can't do much besides dragoon moves when Isgebind is flying and he's way slower than Locke. That said Bartz' USB is also on that banner (at long as Dena doesn't change it) which is useful for sub30ing other magicite.

5* Ice magicite was announced earlier (they are being opened in weakness order so wind is next then earth then either dark/holy) speaking of 5* magicite the fire ones came out recently and people still have no respect for water mages. Seems like the most popular ways of beating the physical immune boss is Onion Knight, Vivi and Palom and even Kimihari's water Radiant Shield or still sticking with physical teams despite the huge physical damage resistance.

Raines BSB is almost two years old and still holds up (at least with a dark/holy chain)

Also you can try to "shortcut" with magicite team building by investing in characters that are skilled in multiple elements IE Bartz, Orlandeau, Sora, Onion Knight, Celes ect and an etruster can take up a slot as well. Torment 2.0 and physical/immune *5 Magicite are BS I'll agree with you there but at least there's no time limit on them as far as we know (time limit in terms of crystals/orbs rewards for Magicite)

And 4-8 years? That's way too extreme of a time lapse, most mobile games don't even last that long. The game itself is only 3 and a half years old now, if the game lasts for 8 years bosses like Yiazmat would be wet paper.

Relics are holding up better than they used to through, most of the best current USBs now are still top tier in Japan even after a year and half, even some BSBs are still holding up like Squall's and Raines. It's definitely not as bad as it was from the unique>Super>Burst power creep.

Even the Gen 2 chains don't make the previous ones obsolete, since there's some people who prefer the quickcast +11 hits over the 50% attack/magic buff. Thankfully it's better this way since people are probably already focused on getting a variety of elemental relics to beat the Magicite giving them trouble rather than a general powercreep where we have to replace everything. And we're all going to busy trying to build teams for the new torments anyway since we're forced to use the same realm characters against those so Dena's still going to make profit off that alone since that makes relics that people ignored previously to highly sought after (IE Vaan and Ashe's USBs became huge prizes when the FF12 torment came out.)

Papalymo's on my sub30 Isgebind team, he's not Vivi but doublecast infusion Meltdowns do pretty good damage, I have him equip Gathering Storm and he does 7500 per hit and later 9000+ with Mom Bomb's imperil and the burst mode buff (that may be my 3 King Bombs though)

Next FF14 event is supposed to star him so he should be getting a USB in two weeks in Japan.

I switched Onion Knight from being a second entruster and equipped him with affliction break and Curada and that finally got me the win!



Curada actually helped a lot since I could that extra meter on Shelke and send it to Orlandeau for some more OSBs (needed to anyway since I was running short on hones for Marche and Orlandeau) Still it was a RNG fest since I have to rely on crits, doublecasts from Marche and, Unicorn's heals which is ironic since Hades only real weakness is that he's so scripted. And it's always panic time when he uses the dispel since you're a sitting duck for those cast times, especially the assault saber users. Also hate that I have to refresh wall since the fight takes so long, sometimes that cost me the fight as well.

Can't wait till Summer Fest banner 1 and hopefully I get relics that let me get some delicious revenge on these bastards.

Orlandeau is fully dived already and yes Unicorn is my main magicite. The main problem is surviving the dark flare since I try to save Rosa's USB for Black Cauldron but most of the time someone's health is too low and I have to use her USB to heal (she has shellga and wrath so no single target heal) But If I use her USB too early the dark flare will eat the blink so I end up using two USBs just to dodge Black Cauldron but I keep failing to get the meter or the entrust hasn't reach her or her turn hasn't started and either someone dies or I get Malboro'd.

I do have all of those, Beatrix isn't dived through and I just have her old BSB.

I mainly use Marche USB, Orlandeau OSB, Onion Knight pUSB, Shelke and Rosa (I wanted to use Ramza because I bought his LM but I need the crit buff since Hades' defenses are so high.) Marche has the 40% Knight Damage RM and Orlandeau has the 30% weakness RM and they're still only doing 3000/4000 with assault sabers (6000 with crits) I tried swapping Orlandeau with Firion since his burst has instant magic blink but it only does 4 hits and he has no access to holy abilities so all he can do is lifesiphon, even through he can dodge a magic blink his damage contribution is too low that Hades stays in his phase and does another Black Cauldron. I have Agrias USB/OSB but she's probably too slow compared to Orlandeau and she's not dived. Even tried Raines and Alphinaud in a damage reflect strategy and that didn't work.

Uggh I can't beat Hades, I've been struggling against this bastard all day and even blew orbs on stuff like D'dia in hopes of beating him but I always get killed or status effect fucked, or he gets me while I'm trying to recover from his dispel at 50% HP. Black Cauldron is the most BS move I've seem so far in this game, it's an instant lose if you don't blink or have an astra prior, so most of the meter has to be entrusted to Rosa simply to avoid that move. Apparently you can DPS him into another phase where he skips Black Cauldron but with stupid high defenses and 975k HP I can't do that without a chain or Orlandeau/Beatrix USB and as stated before all that meter is going to Rosa. Oh and that stupid strike with 100% interrupt fuck that too.

Man all I want is that stupid mythril from the Cid Mission before it goes away. What a douchebag move to remove the Cid Missions a month before Ramza's chain comes out.

Most people generally say "don't put Ace Striker on your DPS" but I realize that most people who play this game at a high level generally use Entrust strategies to just make their main DPS spam the hell out of soul breaks.

Actually these day most people entrust Relm/Aphmau for their healing and instant cast party buff. The soul break spam only really applies to a few characters like Tidus, Orlandeau, Lightning and Terra. Also if you're using a chain it's better to use Gathering Storm on your DPS than damage buffs since the quicker cast times will build the chain faster and make up for the damage loss.

Looks like the Summer Fest is coming in mid June, earlier than expected. Next order of weekly events is Ignis, FF1 Fighter Wardrobe Record and Barbarbicca.

OSBs are mostly stat sticks these days but they do have their niches like with Kraken or Siren.

Orlandeau's still good in general because of Thunder God's Might.

If you have Terra's USB her OSB is still good, people sub30 Isgebind with the USB>Wrath+entrust+OSB combo.

The next FF14 event is supposed to star Papalymo so he may get a godly USB in the future. All of his relics have been good so far it's just he's falling behind because of his lack of a USB.

You have Rapha's USB so that's a start, it's the same as Onion Knight's USB except it has infusion instead of a EX mode. Also invest in Alphinaud for Valigarmanda and Neo Bahamut since he's a summoner and you have his USB.

Just keep doing Nightmare stuff till you hit a boss you have trouble with and then make your decision on the LM that will help you.

Have you done the OSB dream draw yet? Vayne's a good choice since it's a dark boosting sword and he can work as both a physical and mage DPS in case you want to go mage for dark.

With Tidus and Beatrix's USBs you've probably long powercreeped the nightmares that aren't super gimmicky like Guardian or Valigarmanda, as well as most of the current torments. We had to beat them back when abilities only did 2 hits and Burst commands were more effective despite their weaker multipliers, now you have Tidus and Beatrix doing 10+ hits with chases.

Depends how much you use the USB since that already gives infusion. If you're using BSB2 or chain more it's worth it, if you stick to the USB it's probably better to pick a diffrent LM.

I don't even count getting everyone to max and getting all equipment/collectibles as 100% for this game, it's purely "whatever you do in adventure mode" for me. But adventure mode is fucking insane. Easily the greatest value I've ever seen in a game of this kind - if you factor in the dlc maps (included by default in the Switch version) I literally can't imagine ever 100% finishing it. Like you'll probably finish all of SHINE's goals naturally just in your quest to tackle how unfathomably huge that mode is.

I beat all the maps 100% on the 3DS version, and it didn't take that long. The My Fairy system was insanely broken and you could cheese even hard content with the max magic skill or Young Link and spam fairy nukes.

Or Volga's launch loop if they didn't remove it.

Beat the Crystal Tower, god this one was annoying.

IMO Behemoth King>Emperor>Exdeath>Hades

Behemoth King is such a BS boss to use in Crystal Tower, omni resistant, need dispel, AoE Stop and Slow and dumb phases where he becomes physical or magically immune. I think I spent more time juggling who to use between him and Emperor to make sure I had a party ready to deal with both of their tricks than actually fighting him.

Emperor is stupid as well but I used my Isgebind Team except I swapped Tyro for Edge, mostly used summons and ninja magic so I don't trigger the counter haste and I keep Edge's SSB in reserve to counter the dispels.

Exdeath was easy with a wind chain team of Bartz, Dorgann, Zack, Rikku and Rosa. Hades was Marche-food.

Also Dark banner tomorrow. Looks really lousy.

You have to rely on Crits from Onion Knight's pUSB and have Phunbaba or other magicite with critical strike boost. Did you make sure to stock up on lightng magicite before you went in?

Also word of warning, Emperor in the Crystal tower uses AoE Holy on his first turn which can wipe out a party without mitigation so either have a instant cast legend materia use wall ASAP or have Edge or another instant soul break with last stand with mako might.

You get to choose the skill for the most part, some exceptions are boosts if different element's (IE you can't give a water boost to a fire magicite) and certain skills like Darkmare's low HP damage boost.

3* (and *4)are better for inheritance but 2* level up much faster and have less guilt about disposal. You can also overwrite inheritance with another magicite later so if you inheritant a 2* magicite you can overwrite with a 4* later.

It's a third option under the upgrade/level break where when a magicite reaches level 99 you can improve it's stats further and give it a skill from the magicite it absorbed.

There's no Cid Missions for inheritance.

One stars are junk. You can hold on to 2 stars for inheritance if you want though.

Easiest 4* are Marilith, Isebind and Midgarsormr, but they're way stronger than the 3*, even if you can sub30 the previous element's 3* you can still get wrecked if you go unprepared.

You do have Orlandeau's OSB so you can also do the 3 entrusters and OSB spam on Kraken.

Unless you want really want Fujin's stuff no, Zidane's best relic is his USB2 in the next FF9 event which is better overall.

I got around 40 tonberries with a team of Kuja, Terra, Onion Knight, Shelke and Relm. The first 3 used a lot of doublecasts and that hits the next Tonberry when one of them died. Also had Relm use *4 summons even through they're weak they do enough damage so I waste less *5 spells on the magic pixel they have. Also when Kuja uses Ultima it's a free clear of Tonberries.

I don't think there is a cap because apparently someone in Japan got over 100 Tonberries.

Well I managed to beat Siren



I saw a guy on the FFRK board in the Siren topic with almost the exact same party as mine except instead of using Onion Knight as an entruster he had dispel and wrath, and I guess that works, since my DPS characters don't have to use dispel and OK can refresh his mUSB so Raines and Kuja can quickcast after Relm uses her USB. Gotta figure a way to weasel out those last 4~ seconds, but the Cid Missions are the priority first, not like those 3 Holy Crystals would be worth much anyway.

I saw her counter Kuja's Ultima so maybe there's a loophole there.

I have Raines' BSB, he doesn't seem to be doing enough damage to really be worth it, especially around the healing phase, he's better off wrathing for his OSB. I only really keep him around for the magic boost. I don't have Kuja's OSB either but I guess I'll pick up in the OSB selection next week since he uses memento mori anyway.

My physical dark probably can't cut it either, I have Riku's USB but only his USB which probably isn't enough, Sephiroth OSB, LMR and BSB2 and to show how bad my physical dark is my third best option is Vayne BSB.

Even through I said no mythril till the fest I'll do the half off here, only two dupes (Cloud USB and Red XIII LM) some more goodies for Zack would be nice even through I can wreck Midgardsormr already.

Really could use a good new relic right now to cheer me up since my last pulls have been awful and now I'm struggling against Siren. I did get two more sub30's on Kraken so I can get the level 99 Cid Mission arcana, so I took a shot at Siren today figuring I could at least beat her for some *4 holy magicite to level up and clear more Cid Missions and I can't even beat her with my Sub20 Mist Dragon team even edited with for her tricks. Kuja still does good damage and the piercing aftermath of his USB helps a lot, but Raines does pitiful damage outside of his OSB, it's the last phase where she 100% counters everything with a 9999 heal ala Torment Bahamut I can't get past, she even counters soul breaks.

I guess I'm gonna need a new dark DPS over Raines since he's not cutting the mustard anymore. Though I already tried 3 entrusters and spamming Kuja's USB for ultimas but that didn't do enough damage.

God I hate this boss so much, I'm so bitter I didn't get Lighting's AOSB with all the trouble this bastard put me through. Also bless the person who buffed glints early, I though Lightning's was useless with her USB but that instant cast got me through the magic pixel!
