Disliking FFXV is so in.

Amazing game; one of the best FFs. Good story; the DLC's do fill in the gaps quite well and I'm willing to bet a lot of the people negging the game have not completed them; the vanilla game was rushed out after wildly unfavorable development process that is no fault of the actual developers, but corporate stupidity. Appreciate the game and imo ignore the very fashionable opinions you'll read on this board and the FFXV board.

Having platted the game and finished l the DLC so far:

It's mediocre.
Plot gets worse. Fast travel isn't instantaneous, but it's faster. The interactions between the characters was cool but I never got attached to any of them.

Graphics and music definitely the best parts of the game.

Gameplay is mind numbing ARPG. Hold O most of the time, mash square sometimes. Never used magic because it was a waste of time. Summons are random, unless you are getting your ass kicked. Impossible to get game over unless you just aren't paying attention.

It's definitely playable, decent game, but not a good FF game IMO.

Better than Type-0 for sure though.

I think Warframe's data is saved server side, so all you'd have to do is download and log-in with the same PSN and it should all be there.

But I am not 100% sure.

I highly recommend you play the series in order, but it's not necessary.

There are a few recurring characters so you'd be a little lost on some of the backstory, and the world building between the first 3 games has continuity, but that's about it.

It is also more difficult to go back to Suikoden 1 after Suikoden 2, because 2 is that much improved.

Speedier characters are my favorite, thieves, myrmidons, etc.

Naturally it follows that I'd like Lyn more than Eliwood.

But there is no beating Hector for pure badassery and viability.
