the reason was he had prior arrests for assault when you've got people in this thread arguing he posed no threat to those on the train when that's clearly not the case.

he could've continued screaming and threatening passengers without action or could've assaulted someone. the guy who killed him thought the latter, acted on his intuition, and will now face whatever comes his way along with dealing with the trauma of having killed someone.

i've been harassed plenty of times and so has my gf, but i've never been straight up assaulted

however, my anecdotal experiences can't speak on behalf of the myriad of others who have been assaulted or straight up murdered by those suffering from mental illness and/or drug abuse

the guy who inadvertently killed the guy in the story felt justified enough in subduing him due to the perceived threat to others on the train. do you think he went in with the intention of murdering the guy when it's obvious a chokehold is used in most instances to knock someone out rather than clear, intended murder?

The cast was great but the movie was definitely subpar compared to Knives Out.

Felt like the movie never got out of second gear.
