Having lived in one It's really subjective. Primarily more square footage and more convenient, specifically bathrooms and parking. You can pretty much label any condominium as luxury as long as you have an interior designer remodel it.

If you're asking about vegy's luxury condo it falls more along the lines of a sky loft without the square footage. It's a high rise, has laminate flooring, and 3 foot soundproof concrete walls. These are extremely rare to find, nearly impossible, but they are apparently available in California.
