He's about 12 weeks old and I've had him for about 3 weeks now. Whenever he wants to play he's always full of energy and he scratches and bites me whenever I'm near him. He hardly lets me pet him without him reaching over to bite me. When he's like this I grab a toy so he can focus on that instead.

This is my first cat. Is this something he'll grow out of?

Men. Especially without higher education.

Women can get cushy jobs as receptionists and in billing and such. Lots of office jobs full of women without college degrees. How many men do you see working in doctors/dentists offices that aren't the actual doctor or dentist?

Men without college degrees stock shelves or do other manual labor.

Can confirm. At least 80% of people in my office are women.

To this day I still haven't smoked or drank anything. Not much of a social person, plus my mom had a drinking problem and the mental scars from that are still there.

On drugs and happiness.... I didn't come up with (and I probably couldn't, since it takes an outsider's eye to notice things that's everyday normal to us)... but a classmate from NotWest asked that, if we're so successful and happy here in the US, why do we have to be drugged up all the time. The class didn't know how to respond to that.

I dunno... sometimes, I do wonder if we're really more unhappy than we care to admit to ourselves (or to surveys), and too many of us use substance to get that "happiness" (or at least deal with the daily grind/stress).

Oh, people are absolutely not as happy as they try to look. I haven't smoked or drank in my almost 30 years of life but I still feel pretty depressed a lot of the time. I thought of trying medical marijuana once but the thought of becoming reliant on it scares me. My mom was an alcoholic so I'm well aware of what addiction is like. And those scars still haven't gone away.

Never saw the point to having a politics board here in the first place. This website in general has a shit ton of weird ass specialized boards that are kinda unnecessary.
