i was diagnosed with type 1 a few weeks before my tenth birthday, and i'm 30 now. it sucks but its definitely live-with-able. if she is responsible they can probably get her on a pump and continuous glucose monitor pretty soon (within a few years depending on her responsibility level) and those both make things sooooo much better. :)

Reeyo, Senior Paladin, Golden Canary, and Devoted Dragon of the Order of the Platinum Code - male kobold devotion paladin/dragon sorcerer. 2 feet tall golden-scaled crocodile with a longsword in two hands who fancies himself a true dragonborn paladin, a loyal servant of Bahamut. squeaky voice and always introduces himself by his full title.

Orrtrakk - male Gnoll kensei monk (but not flavored to be monk-like at all) who fights down on three limbs for extra speed while using one hand to swing a flail around and ripping people in half with his jaws. super excitable and chaotic, main gimmick is going fast.
