No. I'm from the UK and I've only been to Western Europe (France quite a few times, and Germany once). Closest I've been to leaving Europe is going to the Canary Islands, remember seeing Fiji from the plane.

Nah, I mean more that I've noticed a definite trend with British people under 30 or so where they all seem a bit self-loathing, culturally speaking. Like they'll be the first people to make jokes about all the terrible shit the Empire did, or act sort of embarrassed by the entire concept of national patriotism, or just downplaying their own heritage.

Not shitting on other members of their own cohort (in, say, the way people in the Northeast US will shit on people from the South), but literally shitting on their own cohort.

Sort of similar to how you see a lot of younger Americans who were pretty much raised by the Internet acting like they're embarrassed to be Americans.

That is true, there is a lot of self loathing in England, and Wales too actually. Reminds me of a joke about a book coming out called Crap Towns, and they had to make a sequel; Crap Towns II because so many people wrote in and complained that their town wasn't included in the first one.

The Welsh have their reasons in fairness. Given that we English invaded Wales, stole their land (Wales used to be a lot bigger, same as Scotland IIRC), robbed them of their culture & language, like many other countries. These days its more of a friendly rivalry in fairness, but I think the Welsh tend to get a bit offended when lumped in with the English as they're proud of their own culture and heritage, and not necessarily because they hate the English.

Only had that kind of dream once, although I rarely remember my dreams tbh. I recall hearing that they are stress dreams.

Yes, one of my favourite genres. However they have been a bit oversaturated lately, not every game needs to be a Sandbox. Although some devs seem to think otherwise....

There were 2 in the 90s,MK & MK: Annihilation, plus the one that came out last year.

Technically yes, although I still haven't passed my test yet due to the system still being backed up from Covid. Manual cars are still the default in the UK though (and usually cheaper than automatic too). But yeah, as we move towards electric, these will be phased out (although pre-owned manuals will still exist, obviously).

If its a one-off I would assume it would be fine. Plus I think most phones automatically turn off if they get too hot.

It's a cool idea and a cooler visual, and in Kingdom Come it didn't really matter whether or not it should "work" (because Kingdom Come was a non-canon Elseworlds story), but in a more canonical setting you'd have to decide whether or not Shazam's lightning would could as pure magic or just electricity for the purposes of affecting Superman, and how he would be affected by it. In some stories it might do little more than just stun him, in others it might kill him outright.

Oh yeah, I believe they had that in an episode of the Justice League Animated Series as well.

Love Populous The Beginning. Played it as a kid and still have the original copy, although I bought on GOG as it comes with the 2 expansion packs. Creatures 1, 2, 3 & Sonic R were also 90s PC favourites.

Unlimited, but only because I got the free unlimited data for NHS works a couple years back, don't know when that runs out.
