Nope it doesn't matter. I maxed the melinoe aspect for 4 of them and got the phrase. Other two weapons maxed a non melinoe and got the phrase. Just the luck of the dialog draw.

Was that pre or post 1.0? I'm seeing multiple things saying that maxed Mel aspects counted pre 1.0 but not post 1.0. I had Mel aspects maxed for dozens of runs with nothing popping and no real new dialogue happening with some of the relevant NPCs then as soon as I maxed a non-Mel aspect they instantly popped. This was post 1.0

He understands and even speaks well enough casually, its not like he's talking to his teammates everyday through his translator

He does all his official interviews in Japanese with his translator so that his fans back in Japan can understand what he's saying in interviews, also so that he doesn't accidentally misspeak while trying to give an interview in a language hes not fluent in and say something he didn't actually mean and have the media blow it up (like what happened to that Mets pitcher either this year or last year, I forget)

Strength is my go to. More damage + a ton of survivability is a easy pick.

Yeah I initially fell into the comfort zone of having DD's mostly because I was used to it from Hades 1 but I switched to Strength and it feels better

Havent seen Artemis or Circe in like 10+ runs and those are the only two waking phrases I still need to get, and the last 2 times I did see Circe she had other dialogue still queued up

In terms of Arcana, are you guys Death gamers (Death Defiances) or Strength gamers (More damage done and less taken with no DD)?

Attack procs absolutely work on it, your special hits first then the attack hits right after. Thats why putting Zeus special on it is so good since it applies blitz and once your attack is strong enough it immediately procs the blitz. Then you just slide your finger from attack to special as quickly as you physically can while going back and forth through an enemy (if it even takes more than a single attack to kill them) and watch the health melt away

As for getting second curses you just force it with keepsakes if you dont come across one naturally

Bruh, Medea Skull is absolutely filthy with Zeus Special, any Attack that inflicts a second curse (or cast that inflicts a curse and a big damage modifier attack), and the Origination card. Everything melts

The Yankees of the past 20 years have mostly been choke artists. They just don't make any major moves to change because that's kind of just the Yankee way. And that's why they still cling on to their GM who should have been fired many years ago and their manager who should get canned as well.

Even then, a lot of it is just really bad luck. A team that's been this consistently successful in the regular season over that timespan should have won more than one World Series.

I have a tendency to go everywhere I can when Esquie has a new movement ability before I do plot.

When you get the next movement ability, don't do this unless you want to completely trivialize the final section and boss. It will probably already be on the easy side if you've been doing all side content up to that point

They don't NEED an org/sponsorship to play but being sponsored by an org provides a bunch of benefits/opportunities/money that being an independent player doesn't. Most melee players can't even bag a sponsor because there's so little money in the competitive scene

Also his contract with C9 was something like the fifth longest player-sponsor relationship in all of eSports so it's a pretty big deal for them to cut ties with him

You know you can respec in like 5 seconds at any flag right? and by Act 3 you should be drowning in the items to do it. Seems weird to not just do the thing you know will help, especially since you dont even have to go out of your way to do it

That's my precise worry here, for what it's worth. I'm in this weird boat where I'm a little bit underleveled (47-ish range) and I'm trying to power up without getting so strong I accidentally one-shot the final boss, which is something I've heard of people running into. I spent my last session running around looking for stuff I was at a decent level to do to power up a bit, without accidentally getting so strong that I trivialize things.

It's not a big deal, but I do think that a tiny bit of guidance near the end would be nice just to streamline things. Knowing what level I'm intended to go into the final boss at, and knowing if there were optional areas around my level without manually looking them up or testing them by going in expecting to die would be kind of handy.

If you dont want to sleepwalk through the final boss, just go right to Lumiere once Act 3 begins. You can MAYBE do the character quests first and still be ok but anything more than that and youll be too strong, assuming you're at least competently building your Picto/Lumina loadout, keeping weapons upgraded, and allocating stats well

Yeah this has gotta be a marketing stunt at this point

Perhaps the old VAs will be playing the shadow versions of the characters they used to voice or something

I can see the logic of it working on a solo character, since "all teammates are alive" of a team of one.

Its not about the stated bonus on it, there is a hidden 10% modifier to your attack on top of what's in its description (for all the lumina I listed). And that 10% applies no matter what. If you do have any team members alive Teamwork is actually a 21% bonus because of this

The Contorso bug is so clutch for grinding, surprised they didn't patch it out

Also someone found out Teamwork, Sweet Kill, Dead Energy 2, and First Strike Lumina all give flat 10% damage bonus (even though they dont say anything about it, and yes, teamwork still gives the 10% bonus for a solo character)
