I had a much stronger reaction to 1000 gecs than 10,000 gecs, think it had both higher highs and lower lows. I found this to be mostly fine and kind of funny, with a couple of tracks I could do without (Billy Knows Jamie and One Million Dollars)

LSU is also attempting to say that he hadn't been fired yet and that Woodward did not have the authority to fire him. It sounds like LSU had been trying to negotiate a lower buyout for weeks and after Kelly didn't bite, they are trying this desperate nonsense.

For the people on the fence who are considering the emotional toll of Mercs, I think the test run is a perfect opportunity to dip your toes back in. Low stress, low stakes, relatively brief time commitment. We've been having test matches on the Discord and it's been very peaceful and collegial.

I happened to be listening to this during the last nomination cycle. Revisiting it, I dig it a lot. Great production and mood. If I had to knock it a bit, Willoughby's Interlude isn't interesting enough to justify it's running time and Frig Me Eyes doesn't vibe with the rest of the record. (Not a bad song tho)

a neo-soul masterpiece, influenced in part by Sly's There's a Riot Goin' On

On that note, even though I'm not new to quietly following along with Mercs, I still wonder - how much does it matter to have experience (whether by playing, watching, or both) with many games? Have frequently felt like my lacking breadth leaves me too uninformed to vote even after arguments or otherwise to understand characters' capabilities. Sorry if this is an unsuitable place to ask...

Personally I'm going to try to stick to being familiar with a majority of the Mercs I purchase, but that doesn't mean I'd avoid buying a couple I'm unfamiliar with if I love the build. I hadn't played SMTIV when I bought Flynn last time, but it wasn't too much homework to pick it up and run through it. Plus, you can glean a lot from wikis/FAQs/YouTube.

I also think there's some responsibility on leaders for educating voters on their Mercs. If you buy Pamela Ibis or Jacqli you are going to have to be able to summarize what their deals are, multiple times. There's not going to be enough voters if the pool is limited to just people intimately familiar with every Merc in the match. I think voters just need to be willing to learn about the Mercs they are less familiar with and keep an open mind about them.

It's over. The prep wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, and it was a pretty smooth process. The doctor did mention they had a bit of trouble because my colon is very large. They found two polyps and removed them, one 3 mm and one 7 mm. The doctor said these are usually not cancerous, he will have more details at our follow-up nest week, which I'm looking forward to because I've just been consulting the esteemed Drs. Google and Reddit since then.

Thanks, I avoided jello today and I've been feeling fine so far. Just broth, pulp free juice and Gatorade.

Just took my first dose of Suflave, the flavor enchancing packets seemed to help it go down. My doctor also gave me some Ondansetron to head off any nausea, so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic that this won't be a nightmare.

I did the sulflave prep which just basically gets it all over with quicker, although it tastes awful after so many swigs. I had trouble not puking it was making me gag so much.

I've got the Suflave to look forward to tomorrow night. Does seem like it is quicker, I just start the evening before.

I didn't feel strongly about this album one way or another on a first listen, and not much changed when I gave it a second chance. I think I was expecting something "headier" or more adventurous from the album art. Blackbird is the choice track here and I think I would've preferred more instrumental pieces.
