That trailer was incredible. There are...a lot of characters I want to pull, they went too hard on Nod-Krai lol. Not even just the pullable reveals, too! We're getting so much more moon teases and lore and I was floored when Scaramouche arrived with Alice. He's back in the picture, and planning revenge on Dottore! Oh man, crazy times.

I decided a month or so ago that I wanted to splurge a bit for anniversary, since Genshin has been long-term for me and not going anywhere, by doing that $100 top-up before reset. I think I'll be needing it now.

So how are we all feeling about the upcoming perma summer map? I look forward to it! I also hope to see the other summer maps come back, especially the ones that happened before I started playing in 3.0.

I'm really excited for 5.8 and especially 6.0. I think I'll really love the Nod-Krai visuals and especially music and I'm already in love with the deer woman (who's surprisingly dendro).

This event they have going on right now that's a little mini-RPG thingie is really addicting lol. The fruit matching side game is fun as well.

Okay so, silly enough, spent a small chunk of the morning wiping away tears as I went through the new archon quest and then Skirk's story quest. Loved them both, but I really wonder what we'll be doing once this "Teyvat chapter" is done.

Surtalogi stuff. He's being built up to be stupidly powerful. Like, he only trained Skirk in the first place hoping she'd grow up to give him some kind of competitive fight since he can't find one anywhere else. That means Surtalogi can curbstomp Celestia. Will "season 2" eventually aim towards Surtalogi as the big bad? No way they have him looming over Skirk like this only to do nothing with it. I adore Skirk already, let us help her!!

Grats on Skirk! I managed to get her as well, and C4 of Dahlia. Opted to do the archon quest first, which I enjoyed a lot. Got me all emotional. :') Will start Skirk's story quest later today.

Teaser was so good, they've been slam dunking it for me with the Skirk marketing. In general I'm feeling really happy with them going harder on the lore now, excited for the new patch story as well. I wonder what her final trailer will be like.

Dunno how Cygames does it, Apocalypse Hotel has been fantastic and heartfelt. The way the newest episode made me tear up lol.

Excited that Cygames also got their hands on the Kagurabachi anime (according to leaks), they'll knock the animation out of the park.

It's a lot of fun these days, I played it last year. Haven't done the newest map update stuff though. I think it gets too much hate now, the map alone is a ton of fun to explore and it's gorgeous.

I tried it now, yeeaah. I had to turn on some lights in my brain for this one but this is still way better than the other war games event we had a handful of months back or so. That one drove me crazy with how much I disliked it just from how horrible I did LOL.

Oh no. I haven't started the event yet and planning to today, now I dread it lol.

My Skirk artifact farming isn't going so well right so far! I did find a nice new upgraded piece for Varesa though.

Damn, I just learned you have to wear glasses if you're nearsighted.

Think it depends on how bad it is, but if you do, you can also get prescription VR lenses. I imagine wearing glasses + VR set would be irritating.

I've been keeping an eye on the HL3 leaks and it does sound like it's very, very far along, but I've also read Valve has randomly tossed out almost completed games before. >_> So I'm trying to remain wary.

Wish I could, just to share the VR and Alyx love, but alas, this thing is expensive as it is. :( Hopefully you get a chance to play it someday. Maybe keep an eye on used Quest 3 systems, shouldn't be too bad.

I hope the devs treat this well, looks like it could really have some legs if done right. Already in love with the setting, detective theme, and character designs, and in general Genshin could use more competition.

Anyway, where the fuck is 3?? The ending and post-credits to Alyx had me all uuugghhh.

Lazarus? Has its ups and downs but I'm generally enjoying it. I like the cast and how they bounce off each other, especially Axel.

As a note, I'm watching in JP. EN one is notably pretty horrid.

This event quest has been so funny so far.

I just wrapped up leveling up and getting sets for Escoffier and Ifa so I can start Skirk today. I already have a bunch of artifacts I kept from farming for Varesa, I haven't gone through them yet but hopefully they'll be useful.

I played earlier this year and loved it, thought the hate is wwaaaaayyyyy overblown.

I'm on the boat that wishes the game would be better balanced in Act 3 and NG+. I guess time will tell if it happens or not.

The Stendhal nerf wasn't the biggest damage reduction, it was the bug fix for Medalum that hurt most.

Fixing the issue with both was the right call, but now to bother building a team rather than Maelle vs the World.

She still absolutely decimates tbh, now it's just a matter of getting a 3/3 gauge (which can be done incredibly quick if you have all the charge pictos) and whipping out her third gradiant.

I did the first Act of the event and I never knew how much I needed the dynamic duo of Ororon and Ifa in my life until now.

I'm on the side that says I don't think it's a gimmick at all. It's an amazing experience and can be used for more than just gaming, but it doesn't have full development power behind it to take advantage and it also doesn't help that it requires the users to get "VR legs" first. When it's just as expensive as a console for a budget headset but many users also experience dizziness/nausea, that's a big ask and a hurdle to becoming more widespread.

I just finished the archon quest Mondstadt story, was pretty good.

I knew from the start that Albedo was in the clear, since he's playable and therefore has to remain "safe," but I am glad they brought back all the doppelganger stuff with him. That was cool to go through, between that, getting to hear Varka's voice, and more Hexenzirkel, it was a fun quest. The most exciting part for me though was the whole human Durin stuff and that leak from ages ago being true, and we even got a glimpse of what his design is! I guess if I was let down by anything it was not getting any Venti deep dive drops, unless I missed it. At least we still got plenty of Venti in general.

Is there a good story in Blue Prince? I've been on the fence about even trying it. I've played some puzzle games before, like Portal or Talos Principal, but not a lot.

I got a Quest 3 a couple months back and I love it. Going to start Half-Life Alyx here in the next day or two. Have a list of games I'll be playing on it, both official and modded.

Also yes, I was patient enough to learn how to parry. I wasn't the greatest at it in Sekiro or Bloodborne, but with this game there is so many benefits to parrying (AHEMAHEMMIMES) so I brute forced myself to learn to parry. There's a dungeon later on that you're pretty much forced to parry to have a chance to go through, although you can save it for much later. And there are a few (optional enemies) that you are forced to git gud with parrying/dodging.

I love how the optional endgame boss called Clea forced you to parry, otherwise she'd constantly heal. You could still outdamage the heals but the fight wouldn't go that smoothly at all. The other endgame optional boss, the biggie...that one is another level completely. Insane.

It's funny, when I was growing up with the PC boom and all that I always figured younger generations would be more and more computer savvy and completely clued in. How wrong I was.

FFX is a favorite of mine as well and I also consider E33 to be a new favorite of mine. Game blew me away, and it's always so refreshing to see something like this in modern gaming. Who's your favorite main character? I'm 4ever Gustave, but also love Sciel.

Or you can be like me and stubbornly 100% parry and just die a LOT. Sink or swim!
