I think most people would call a Direct good if it had a new mainline Mario, new mainline Zelda and a new Smash Bros. I think this being an hour long just got some people to expect more than the fairly sad spectacle we got. There werent a ton of brand new Switch 2 reveals especially for first party (at least not the kind people would care much about) and there were lots of ports and paid DLC spots in the Direct. It at least ended on a good reveal though

I still cant believe Galaxy 1 has two different Switch 1 releases now. They really couldve just added Galaxy 2 to that first release that had 64 and Sunshine with it.

Well until the FE reveal at the end I was ready to call this a waste of time. Before that nothing was a title I really had much of any interest in and the best part was sadly the Super Mario Galaxy Movie. I thought with the Mario 40th stuff wed see a peak of the next mainline Mario game at least, but that whole part was basically a nothingburger with a charming Yoshi game thrown in.

Definitely not worth the hour viewing, but I suppose it couldve been worse. I still need to play FE3H and Engage and no idea when any Switch 2 enhancements will come for those still
