It's certainly nice not having to grind and not having one or two pokeymans with the right coverage get horribly over leveled compared to the test of the team at every gym. It does feel like the games are never balanced around all the experience you get though. And if they don't want to balance the game around it, they should let you opt out.

Thanks! And yeah the style is kind of like hatching, but they also just use a uniform solid color under it for all the shaded regions anyway, so it's sort of a different effect. It looks like a comic book sort of style.

I love the Sonic Riders character art style a lot. Just pretend the colors and lines look a little better cuz I definitely felt better about it before the crash. Idk how I went like an hour without saving, but fate saw its opportunity and pounced. ._.

Yeah mine crashes now and then. It's been a long while since it's done it while drawing though. It's usually while playing games. I did open a game I haven't played in years earlier. Maybe it got confused about when it's allowed to crash or sumthin.

Siiigh. At least the line art wasn't lost. Mostly. Just the coloring and some of the shading. I'm still going to throw someone out of a window for this though.

My 3ds just crashed in the middle of a drawing. I lost so much progress. I'm going to fucking scream.

For Mr. Desert Man? IIRC you can dodge both versions of the spin move, but the window for one of them is very tight.

Crazy Redd really do be like that. My island is covered in fake David statues. At least the fake version is holding a book, so the statues promote literacy to my dear neighbors.

This is my second Animal Crossing drawing and also the second one that's just a recreation of a meme. Weird coincidence, just like my Zelda drawings both featuring straws. The hardest part of this "drawing" was adding the text on at the end. Simple edits like that are such a pain in the ass to do on a phone.

The latest one was pretty disappointing for a lot of players, but at the very least, the wudwuds are amazing little critters that enrich my life with their every line of dialogue.

Frankly, it's not really all that hard to get 100% the first time around so long as you understand that one of the routes just cannot get 100%. "Do everything that you come across" really isn't that hard of a task, and there's, like, five some odd things that are actually a bit obscure that you might miss otherwise.

I always heard there were a lot of times where you need to talk to NPCs in specific orders and make particular choices even beyond the faction choice. Not to mention the Commsphere stuff in ch4 which is pretty specific even if you're just trying to get all areas' Mission Completes. Rin.

I did Rove as Wicked's Elphaba, so here's Plumpeach as Glinda. Between Glinda's fondness for luxury and the general vibes of Shiz and Oz, it kinda fits the theme of ornate. But mostly I needed an excuse to show Plumpeach some love too. Cuz she's awesome too. I love the way she talks and her huge silly wig. People who love Rove but hate Plumpeach are fake-ass phonies.

Nah, fuck that. Nullify my buffs one at a time, the same way I had to apply them (probably). Unless it's something like FF's Dispel, where the player also has access to it. (Of course, inevitably some enemies are immune to that, which is even more horse shit, but that's a different discussion).

Remember in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories when you unlocked a new spell that used Donald and two Fire cards and instead of casting Zettaflare or something amazing like that, he set himself on fire and ran around the battlefield like a moron? That was fun. Still a better party member than Goofy though. Fight me.

This. And it depends on the game, too. Like I've hardly ever lost fights in the Octopath Traveler games, but I still consider a lot of the fights hard because of how tricky they are and how many close calls I get into. Same with Monster Hunter where I don't need to lose; just get hit a lot or have a hard time finding openings and I'll say it's a hard monster. Then there are bosses in Silksong that have taken several attempts but I'm like "It's not hard I'm just being bad/stupid/greedy" lol.

Went too far with the shadows and lighting so it looks messy. I was initially gonna just color him like he was in daylight and I think it woulda looked better despite the torch lol. Maybe I'll go back and try it some day.

Junk in the trunk.

We had options with Trunk. Elephant nose. Tree torso. Luggage. Men's swimwear. Men's underwear. Car compartment. Booty. Other?? It was tempting to try to combine as many into one drawing as possible, but I wasn't feeling that ambitious, so I just did another pun.

I was feeling bad about this until I went back and thickened up some lines. Sometimes just making the line weight vary a little more gives it a little more personality. Now I feel just okay with it lol. They're daily drawings, they ain't all gotta be masterpieces.

Lotsa poison. The thousand-yard stare cat. Detective mongoose. I'm thinking... that I don't know enough anime for this game.

Yeah, I loved how much it mixed things up. Getting to interact with wild pokeymans outside of a battle menu was a lot of fun. Stealth and bribes, plus actually having to avoid their attacks on you the player. It's more fun than the main games that revolve much more around battling. The turn order system was a neat concept too, but it felt very stacked against the player and it's ridiculously stacked against you when you have multiple opponents.

Shredded cheese. Hot take, but the convenience of pre-shredded cheese is worth any perceived downgrade in flavor. The process of grating cheese is tedious and washing the grater after is even more annoying.

I like colored lines, but like grating your own cheese, it's generally just not worth the effort when you need multiple line colors and they overlap. Also I think there's a little too much contrast between all the yellow bits and all the black bits. It could stand to be a little softer I think.

So like, do better? You piece of shit?

Also make it an adventure game where the environment matters. No water? You can only bend as much water as you can carry. No earth, or only sand nearby? That's gonna limit or change your earthbending. Take out an enemy in water with lightning, but make sure you aren't standing in the water, too. Part of what made ATLA fun was how the characters had to adapt to and take advantage of their environments. Put that in the games.

A fighting game for the Avatar series...makes a lot of sense. This is weird because the art style and animation look fantastic...but there is something that feels off about it for some reason.

Some of the animations kinda look stiff I guess. Like they aren't bending down or moving their spines around as much as they do in the shows. And maybe some moves don't have enough of a wind up. I dunno.

The blurring thing sounds so weird. I wonder what caused it.

Yeah, I don't think a ton of additional teams would make the game that much better. Maybe one more (Blaze/Silver/someone or the Babylon Rogues would be fun), but they'd really need to diversify the movesets and stage objectives to keep it from being repetitive as hell. Or only require you to complete each stage once and you choose your team (or draft your own team from the roster).

Back to Rove already, but this time he's Elphaba from Wicked plus her broom, which definitely sweeps. Definitely. I woulda added in Plumpeach as Glinda, but I was too lazy. The whole pic is a really simplified version of a promo pic of both Elphaba and Glinda, but without a Glinda lol. Maybe I'll do a Plumpeach-Glinda for a future prompt.
