Shake, pedophiles have no control over it. Child molesters do. They can be one in the same, but they aren't by definition. Pedophiles are sexually attracted to children. Someone could be a pedophile but go through their entire life never doing anything inappropriate to a child, by conscience and/or fear of consequence. They have no control over their feelings and urges. They only have control over their actions. if they choose to have sexual relations of any kind with a child, then they are a child molester. They had control of their actions but chose to act on them. I don't respect people who molest kids, but a pedophile who exhibited unconditional self control and never so much as looked at a child in a disturbing manner, I would respect. There probably aren't many out there like that, but who really knows.

And yes, what I said DOES VERY MUCH have **** to do with what you're talking about. If a guy can get fooled that easily by a girl in person, how easy is it to get fooled on the internet? Not all guys who show up at the house of a 13 year old for sex know that it's a 13 year old they're meeting. There are girls out there who are looking for sex from chat room guys. How many of them do you think are honest? There's this whole "it can't happen to me" attitude that you always hear regarding the guys who get busted on that show. Well it works both ways. Those teenagers you refer to as "half-people" are probably even more likely to think that it won't happen to them. A girl browses the chatrooms and gets friendly with older guys, then she sees the Chris Hanson show. Is she more likely to think "omg i shud be more carefull lolz" or "yeah right lolz that will nevar happen to me." They're stubborn, rebellious, ignorant and naive. I know you agree with me there. If they end up getting secksed up by a 40 year old internet predator, they've gotten what they asked for.

ExTha's not stupid at all, nor is he ignorant. He's just unsympathetic to young teenage girls who try to hook up via chat rooms. There's no reason to fault him for that even if you disagree with him. Shake, you're obviously unsympathetic to guys who go to the same chat rooms looking for young tail. We all have groups of people we're unsympathetic to. For me (off the top of my head), people with eating disorders is the first that comes to mind, and there are many more. ExTha is not defending the criminals so much as he's criticizing the victims, and that needs to happen more in this world in my opinion, because it's too easy for people to paint themselves as victims and take advantage of their victimization.

As for killing every pedophile or even killing every sex offender. THAT is what's stupid. I hate all extremists and crusaders whether or not I agree with their cause. If you kill a guy who bangs a half-conscious drunk chick, you have to kill the guy who was tricked by a 15 year old girl (and wouldn't have gone near her if he knew her age). If you kill a guy who rapes a kid, you have to kill some homeless guy jerking off in a park somewhere when a kid happens to run into view. If you don't kill minor sex offenders or accidental sex offenders along with the horrible ones, you're admitting to the existence of a gray area, and gray areas are the worst enemy of any extremist or crusader.

If you're friggin' thirteen and you make the dumb mistake of meeting a 33-year old somewhere, you don't deserve to be sexually abused. You don't know what you're doing.

any what exactly do you think these girls are planning to do when meeting those guys?

a 13 year old girl invites an older guy to her house for sex and then complains about having sex with said guy, she's a ****ing moron.

and that's why we withhold choices from thirteen-year olds, that's why we don't grant thirteen0year olds independence, and that's why we don't let them sleep with whoever they wanted.

but what's far more important is that we still hold them accountable for their bad decisions.

Honestly, Ex -- I'd peg you as dumber than any kid who's made such an unfortunate mistake. You type things that I don't know where you got them from. Guy agrees to meet a thirteen-year old, let's focus on the stupidity of the girl and send the man away for some psychiatric help because he's confused but the thirteen-year old is stupid. In addition, she's also a slut and knew exactly what she was doing. The guy was the victim here, really.

you're leaving out the fact that not all of those those guys agree to meet 13 year olds. There aren't ****ing photo ID's and ID scanners over the internet. Yeah, the guys on that show are told the "girls they're meeting" are 12/13/14/whatever, but in many other cases, they might be lied to. Chatrooms are the easiest way for 13 year olds to pretend they're older. Even then, some 13 year old girls look older too. Some guy might go to meet a girl he was told is 18, shows up at her house and she looks 18+, what reason would he have to think she's younger? Your problem Shake is that you apply the exact same cut-and-dry logic to every situation as if they're all the same. Either you're ignoring the exceptions or you're saying exceptions don't exist.

A friend of my cousin got arrested for soliciting a minor or whatever that charge is called for trying to pick up a 15 year old girl at a bar. Well, this is America. In America, you have to be 21 to drink. Every bar I've been to either cards people at the door or inside before serving drinks. The girl said she was 22. My cousin's friend was drinking with her. He said she looked as old as she said she was. She apparently talked about a local college as if she went there. If she was 15, she wouldn't have been in that bar drinking unless she had a fake ID that was good enough to fool the people working there. This guy had no ****ing reason at all to even consider the possibility that she might be underage. They left together and apparently a cop pulled up along side them (they were walking) because of "public drunkenness" or something. When he ran their IDs, hers came up as fake. She admitted to being only 15 and he was hauled off on the spot. Charges were dropped, but he was told that he was very lucky. The guy was the victim here, really.
