I know what you mean.

TC, you really need to specify whether or not "immoral/unethical" means "wrong" vs "against the rules"

I meant wrong, but I'd love to hear your last example of both just to make it more interesting.

That's a thing, too.

You don't see screen fades or freeze frames anymore. You're lucky if you even see dolly shots.

Somewhere people got this notion that certain arbitrary things are immersive and certain other arbitrary things are not. Like, having cuts at all. If freeze frames "remind the viewer they're watching a movie" why the bleep doesn't having your perspective change radically instantly every 1-5 seconds?

This, of course, all hinges from the beginning on the idea that immersion is always the goal, which is also psychotic.

Couldn't agree more.

what if you shower once , twice a day?

I'm...not exactly sure what you mean by that. But if you're going to be interacting with others and ESPECIALLY doing physically demanding work that naturally results in perspiration, then you should bathe, brush your teeth, and wear deodorant to keep from smelling unpleasant. And in general, it's good to be hygienic whether you're in the presence of others or not.

Assuming I automatically don't teleport into something by accident, I choose the ability. If that's not included, money.

It only works if you have a specific spot in mind, but it'll always put you somewhere safe. Never anything like in front of a moving car or inside a wall lol

I don't know about you guys, but it would be extremely difficult to pass up an extraordinary gift like teleportation -- especially when I get to have it for YEARS. Almost zero reason to drive, catch a plane, or use public transportation, which would save me mountains of money. The ability to visit anyone from family to friends to flings in the blink of an eye, no matter the distance. That's just a level of convenience capital can't buy, and I'm sure such an ability would allow for some easy ways to amass a fortune anyway. Plus, when it's all said and done...I get to die knowing I once had this super awesome ability that defies nature. Quite a grand memory.

But the true reason is it allows for the quick spread of soooooo much information they don't want to be spread

Every social media allows for that, so I doubt that's the reason.

So you like to look at the moderation that strangers on the internet receive on a gaming message board, and then give your own assessment of them.

Seems as if you may have a horse or two in the race.

How? Is that not just making an observation and judging it accordingly, like everything else in life?

That's what I did.

Bring fairly and unfairly moderated/banned on messageboards has always come with the territory. They are, after all, just private hobby websites administered by a handful of people to varying degrees of competence.

Joining a club for people who believe themselves to be the victims of injustice? Laying out 'proof' of the wrongs done to them? In the more extreme cases, doing this for years on end, and plotting 'revenge'?

That's the evidence I considered, and came up with the judgement of 'lost all perspective' and 'made themselves into a laughing stock'.

I just visit the forum, look at the posts, and go either "nah, that's fair" or "wow, that's pretty unreasonable". I find myself going "wow, that's pretty unreasonable" more often than not.

I'm calling them out. They're claiming we're biased, and abusive with our power.

If that were the case, there are plenty of users who wouldn't have accounts because many mods find them annoying, even if they aren't breaking the rules.

That's not the only way a mod can misuse their power.

So you do hold those shit-tier opinions and can't understand how being a bigot breaks ToS on this website.

I disagree with your premise ("the people there are just bigots who get what they deserve"), so there's really no point in us having further dialogue. You have a fixed belief and attitude towards the people there, regardless of what the actuality of the situation might be.

If it's the one called GameFAQs Moderation, then we are reading different things. What I've seen on that subreddit are people who blatantly break ToS or get butthurt that they can't spew bigoted shit and then complain about getting modded.

I've seen examples of that as well, but I've seen FAR more examples of people getting in trouble for things they simply should not be getting in trouble for.
