He's acting super sus about it.

Is he though? Or is he just sceptical there's an actual list?

I'd say if he was really on some hypothetical list he'd be more likely to keep his mouth shut

Is believing in the list a purity test now?

He's always loved walking and recently he's got this foot injury that's taken really long to heal and has given him this limp and made walking tough

He's a fairly fit 72 but this slow healing process is a small reminder he's starting to get old and he just got really upset over it

I know people go through far worse but he's usually so composed to so see him tear up over something I thought was kinda minor was tough to see

Bunch of psychopaths in this topic

I owned and loved my dog growing up, but I've lived in an inner city 5 person sharehouse for years and housemates owning dogs have caused tons of problems.

One housemate with a French bulldog (expensive super trendy designer dog) bit my other housemates finger and I had to drive him to the ER as it was a pretty deep wound and carried an infection risk

The dog owner wasn't even remotely entertaining the idea that maybe the dog shouldn't be there. Was giving us all these strategies about how to best not aggravate it in the future.

The whole issue felt so preventable lol but nobody wanted to make the tough call because cute doggo

Whenever a dog does anything to make someone uncomfortable the owner is always like "oh that's so crazy my dog did that"

Like it's weird to me how people's empathy for an animal sometimes supersedes that of a human

Nah, not worth the time. Same with people who block after responding, so you can't respond yourself. It's kind of lame but some people are just like that, don't let it bother you.

I had this happen the other day. It's the equivalent of saying something outrageous, then putting your fingers in your ears and going "nahnahnah I can't hear you"

Pretty solid admission you've lost the argument

Dude was amazing at adding layers to characters that would otherwise be one note. Good writing only takes you so far, so it lies upon the actor to make the role actually work and from the dozen or do that I saw, he made all of his roles work for him.

Yeah, very well said. His role in Kill Bill a good example. He made a sleazy strip club owner quite deep

Not when one party communicates poorly about that stuff.

And of course regarding foreplay

I deleted my post because it felt like too much but basically yeah I agree. I've dated two girls who got so frustrated if I "screwed up" their pleasure by getting into a poor thrusting rhthym or tiring out or slipping out and not being able to quickly get back in etc. Just literal logistical problems, never anything to do with my attraction to them or my care for them

Like to me, it's just a "who cares" type thing there's no need to ever get stressed out by these things. But I'd cop serious changes in voice tone and some real knee-jerk rude comments(when they were usually really kind out of the bedroom) and yeah by the end I was hesitant to have sex with them as they really brought down my confidence. Nothing has ever "pissed me off" in the bedroom but my exes got annoyed the way a shitty boss would at me

Ex wife and a 2 year ex gf. Things would be great most of the time, but feeling awful about the small % of times then led to me worrying about it all the time.

Man, can relate. My ex had been SA when she was young so I was never gonna challenge her on these things, but if she wasn't feeling it(for whatever reason, sometimes I had zero idea why) she'd just be like "let's stop" super suddenly.

And would often say things like "there's things about me you just don't need to know, that's just for my therapy sessions" so it was really hard to get to the bottom of issues

Destroyed my confidence most of the time

This is what happened with me. I was always worried and it could cause issues. I no longer needed them at all after I started dating my now wife because I longer felt anxious with her. It was mainly because she never judged if things didn't go super well every single time.

And if you have a Costco nearby, get the prescription sent there. Insanely cheap and you do not need a membership to go to the Costco pharmacy. It is illegal to restrict access to a pharmacy. Just say "pharmacy" at the door and they let you in.

Did your ex wife judge if things didn't go perfectly?

My ex would be so harsh if things weren't perfect(like if I'd had a big meal, I'm gonna get tired quick) and would make real snarky comments

I used to hate this stuff too then I encountered multiple people back to back (people I dated, housemates, people i worked with) that I felt were basically immune to criticism because they had mental health issues. It was the excuse every damn time, felt like it was the get-out-of-any-accountability-ever card.

So I've got major compassion fatigue with this.

I was reading about the difference between tame and domesticated animals the other day(Was wondering if you could ever train a fox to be a pet)

Basically, it takes generations and generations to domesticate wild animals. You can tame one to be less fearful of/aggressive to humans but you cant make them as loyal as a dog or horse in one generation.

Simply raising a moose from its infant stage wouldn't cut it

Oh dude, she's immature as hell and only vents when she's upset via text. Always when I'm at work.

I'm pretty sure I can get full custody if we go to court. She's been living off of me for over four years and has a bad track record with money, among other things.

I've probably been an asshole this week because I couldn't keep all my frustrations in and have let what I think about our situation out. Never screaming, never fighting, but definitely a little derogatory at times.

Ah man your first two sentences are so relatable. My ex sent me a similar "let's take a break/cancel an upcoming holiday" text when I was in the middle of a super stressful shift with 5% battery, that she knew i had as i left her place just that morning. She didn't even think to wait til i was home that night. Oh and id told her so many times i hated texting and feel so limited by it communication-wise. Just ridiculous

A weight filter wouldn't make as much sense really, a 5'8 athletic girl could still weigh more than a 5'2 chubby girl.

It'd need to be a BMI filter right?

The only woman ive dated that identified as apolitical was Persian, and I did get the impression it was because she had some outdated views on gay people, race, gender roles etc. She said she hated discussing politics, but things would occasionally slip out, she once asked me if I thought aboriginal Australians were "slow".

However, she herself was not really privileged, and her lack of fluent English had made her quite depressed and lonely in this country.

A buddy of mine is like 5'7 and gets regular dates off hinge. The height thing is vastly overstated

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/4/458b4d77.jpg

I'm your buddies height and have had sporadic success too, but I don't think it's vastly overstated in an online setting. We're not even a potential option to a huge % of women. It requires massive amounts of swiping and conversations dying after a few words to get a date with someone for me.

Edit - BTW apologies for the super blurry photo which may be hard to read. Basically, according to this, only 15% of guys under 5'9 are included in women's heights filters (from women who use height filters). That giant drop off on the right is 60% down to 30% from 6ft to 5'11 lol.

Anyway, I guess height is just as "unearned" as a handsome face or good hair or whatever superficial metric someone can think of, so I do have a level of acceptance over this, but I'm pretty certain I'd have had a much easier romantic life if I was 6feet.
