It doesn't seem like that kind of relationship. From what I can find online. Hulk is 38 and Camila (the niece) is 35. So Camila was 18 when Hulk first married his ex wife.

Oh ok, so a terrible family but not grooming at least. I was afraid he knew her since she was 5.

heard it earlier today at Lowe's when I was in the garden department. Just wanted to get CE's take on it.

First reaction was it sounds made up. I googled it and found a yahoo article backing up the claim, that you're less efficient than a professional farm and the materials to set up the garden aren't a neutral carbon footprint. They definitely don't seem to be taking into account the savings from not mowing that section of your yard or the carbon footprint of the hobby that would replace that time.

Reminds me of a story. When we switched to using fabric reusable bags for our groceries so we no longer had grocery bags to use as a bathroom bag. Instead of buying them, I paid attention to what could be used. The wrapping around Costco paper towels and toilet paper were plenty big enough if you just opened one side and didn't rip the damn thing in half. I felt really good about doing my part to reduce consumption. Then one day, my wife's work bought a 500 box of bathroom sized garbage bags, only needed a dozen, and sent the rest home with her. We only go through 1 bathroom bag a month. That box she brought home is damn near a lifetime supply for that stupid can. We cannot compare to the industrial scale of things. The waste of a business compared to your personal waste. More efficient cars, green energy power plants, industrial regulations, those are clearly the area that need focus and people's home gardens ain't the problem.

It goes all the way back to Reagan's 11th Commandment, never speak ill of a Republican. By Dubya that turned into blind devotion that Bush maintained throughout his presidency. They were unwilling to admit that he'd done anything wrong, which got especially absurd as we got further and further into the Iraq War. Then in 2007 they were suddenly all ready to ditch him and distance themselves from him as they prepared for 2008.

The thing that surprised me the most was the rest of the party was not willing to turn on Trump when he lost. But in retrospect it's like overthrowing any dictator. Sure if we all unite against him then it'd be easy to overthrow but if you're the first to step out of line and no one follows you then that's how you get that the ax. Congress started to step out of line after Jan 6th but conservative media didn't follow so the Republican Congressmen quickly jumped back in line.

The actual sentencing hasn't happened yet and it's possible that even if he's not sent to jail Trump's comments, such as his intention to flee to Venezuela if he were to lose, could factor into the sentencing.

There's also far more trials upcoming dependent on him not winning and then dismissing/pressuring GA to drop them.

If it went by popular vote any low population area would be irrelevant. There's no escaping the problem.

That's not true. If it were the electoral college system would be a lot more popular amongst other countries and US states would have their own mini electoral colleges.

Right now the 2 parties are fighting over Pennsylvania and a handful of other swing states while ignoring the majority of the country. If the two parties fought over the urban areas in a popular vote then they'd roughly split them as they currently roughly split the swing states. Only an electoral college gives all the electoral votes to the person that barely won the swing state. Win Pennsylvania by 100 votes in the Electoral College and you get all of Pennsylvania's votes. A popular vote doesn't do that. Win New York City by 100 votes in a popular vote and you're still only 100 votes ahead. A person that just barely wins the urban areas then they can absolutely get crushed if rural areas go in force for the other candidate.

The winner take all nature of the electoral college makes big states MORE important. The biggest 4 states are California, Texas, Florida, and New York. In a popular vote you would win 40% of each of those states, crush it in the rural states and win the election. That's not possible with the electoral college. You cannot win the electoral college without a big state. The ONLY reason we currently have close elections is because the big states are split 2 v 2. When that breaks, when those states agree, those states pick the winner because of the winner take all nature of each state.

Trump in particular is a major national security risk. Had he not been elected he never would have passed the background check to get security clearance. He stole sensitive documents and I think it's questionable if they were all found, and what was recovered you have to question if there were copies made.

I imagine there is some secret plan in place to quietly detain and sit on him if he tries to bail if he loses again.

A secret deep state plan to arrest Trump if he travels in a way they dont like sounds like a conservative media wet dream

I would've loved a companion show to hype up the villains for the main series. If each season was the background for a group Rick & Co were about to meet. How did they become the way they are.

I stuck with TWD and Fear til the end. Also watched Dead City. I watched 2 episodes of Daryl's and it was OK but I'm done with it. Never saw World Beyond or Rick's return show.

That moment in S2 is when I quit the show. With all the complaints I saw of later seasons, I think I made the right decision.

No, no, no, you misunderstood. You made the claim Biden is a terrible president because he could cause the Democrats to lose. McCain may or may not have been a shit president, but he was not a threat to democracy. Democracy would've been fine under McCain. If Biden made us lose to someone like McCain, then Biden wouldn't be "losing democracy." The argument you've presented is Biden is bad because Trump is bad.

This a really weird way to frame his presidency. Youre saying Biden would be a better president if Trump was a better candidate. Hed be a better president if the Republican candidate was someone like McCain.

Being a "Great" president in my eyes goes beyond what that president has done for "our nation" and how that president impacted the world around them. Being complicit in genocide is not it.

Obamas drone program, Bush in Iraq, shit weve done in South America Bidens stance on Palestine is not great but I think hes still the best president of our lifetime.

****Season 3 spoilers****

I mean, it stands within reason that Nick and Daniel met up with them, even rescued them on the shore. There's even a plot point where Victor and Madison have a conversation about why she saved him instead of just letting him drown like he deserved.

It's clear the Dam blew up, a hole formed, sucked them all into it, Daniel and Nick dipped, then Daniel went his own way to be alone because everything he touches dies.

Yes it took a couple seasons to get Daniel to talk about why he left, but the rest isn't really all that confusing. What is was Luciana randomly showing up again after dipping in season 3 without notice. There is a bit of throw away dialogue where someone mentions Madison finding her and bringing her back, but who knows what else. I do find it kind of silly how these people randomly find one another time and time again, despite it being logically impossible to find one another.

*Spoilers for season 3/4*

They rarely didn't follow through with expectations. Season 3 ends with them scattered to the wind and you expect them to find each other again but going into season 4 you expect some sort of rebuilding effort. But instead they're all fine at a stadium and now that's falling apart but I don't care cause I don't have attachment to that place, didn't see them build it up.

It's like later in the series when they build up Padre as the only safe place from the radiation but then the following season where we finally come into conflict with Padre suddenly the radiation is no longer an issue.

That was honestly my biggest gripe. Everyone kept just randomly running into one another no matter the circumstance. It's one thing if they know you're here or there and bump into them on the way, but Jesus, how they found one another time and time again was astonishingly silly.

Agree so much, especially with how large of an area they covered.

Some all but imply white men are the only ones who actually "earn" their jobs because they never get "special help" despite the biases that happened in the past.

Not even the past, think about every person that has ever helped them, the probability that every single one of them was perfectly fair is basically zero. Who to hire, what grade to assign, there's always borderline cases and none of us are ever perfectly fair in when we give the benefit of the doubt versus not. Ideally it should roughly even out between when you get the benefit and when you don't but in practice... they definitely get special help without realizing it.

A scenario that comes to mind when I was teaching Algebra 1 Honors a few years ago. For scheduling reasons I had to switch classes at Christmas break. A white student that earned a C with me suddenly did much better with the new teacher who also happened to be his next door neighbor. Not that the teacher was consciously changing his grades but they had a close relationship and that kid got a lot more help and was able to stay in honors for next year. He gets "special treatment" probably without ever consciously registering that he's getting it. Meanwhile a black student that had the third highest grade when I taught the class suddenly was doing much worse. Maybe stuff was going on in home, maybe she knew the first half of the content well from 8th grade but with new material it got harder, there's a hundred possible maybes. I don't believe the new teacher consciously treated her any different but it's hard for me to believe she received the same opportunities. There's white kids in that class who also didn't get the same special opportunities as the kid that was the teacher's neighbor. That's somewhat how it goes, none of us are ever 100% perfectly fair in decision making, in when to give benefit of the doubt, partial credit, etc, but ideally it should roughly even out when you get it and when you don't. I'd have more faith that it does even out if we started with a diverse staff, diverse leadership, etc.
