I'm not confident based on polling but I have a sliver of hope in the facts that:
- Mamdani leads among people paying more active attention to the race, early voting, etc.
- Mamdani's name is first on the ballot, which studies show does have a small impact.
- It's gonna be 102 degrees today.

Oh BTW they aren't digging into the RCV results for another week. So we'll have some picture of the first round tonight, but it might be a while before we know what happened
The stars are aligned for Mamdani and banked votes. Not good if you're the Cuomo voter who always insists on voting on election day.

The prize isn't something you want and beg for. It comes to you.

And Obama was particularly humble because he knew simply being elected was not enough for him to deserve it but they gave it to him anyway. It was a call to action for him.

I didn't expect 2 for Natanz and 12 for Fordow. Maybe 2 in a sweet spot and then assess damage. Even if we didn't end the program, we probably did immeasurable damage.

The only way for Dems to win 2028 is to run the table. Unlikely even the party properly reconstitutes itself.

And then 2032 becomes functionally impossible because of a harsh reapportionment.

Nothing will change until Florida and Texas start moving. Even then, probably too late due to compounding EV losses elsewhere.

AI emergence or consciousness is an illusion. Some really weird responses can appear unprompted, but almost always within the butterfly effect of your prompt.

Right now, the frontier of AI by Google's own admission is AI agentic play for 8-bit video games like Pokemon. They are stunned by how an AI instance can loop and iterate over 400 or so hours and remain coherent.

Funny for now, terrifying if he actually further misaligns Grok to the point where it doesn't care about system prompt blacklists containing almost every credible source. Each time Musk has tried this, the AI quickly recognizes its restraints prevent basic functionality and prevent factual information with no alternatives to proceed with. The "white genocide in South Africa" incident is a similar example.

Using any nuke would uncap decades of intrusive thoughts by Russia and other nuclear powers thinking "maybe it won't be so bad if I just use a tactical nuke or Davy Crockett".

Never mind that nobody has ever used a thermonuclear weapon in an actual war before.
