This sounds like a really good idea, keep it up.

You can be passionate about a hobby at any age. No need to shame them based on their appearance. There's one Sega fan in particular that comes to mind, who may have visibly aged, but still loves the craft and continually puts out content. Since 2008!

That's not exactly the same. The stuff I'm talking about is an angry looking 45 or so year old male who's making a 30+ minute video where they got out their FPS monitor to find minute faults in and get angry over a pokemon or yoshi game.
I don't go back into topics I posted in unless they're mine and I get alerts from people posting in it. I'd have no idea.

Tbh, I'm less likely to watch anything that has such a thumbnail and I absolutely refuse to watch if they have a slovenly appearance.
I wouldn't say slovenly just that they appear to be around middle aged and visibly upset by pokemon

Yet they will grow up which can be scary. They will keep his beliefs and when they grow up and become independent, there will be an increase in violence.
21-22 is already grown up. Early 20 males are like the highest crime demographic
You see these thumbnails and it's like some middle aged looking guy, angry and serious look on his face, he's balding and the video is like "we need to talk about that pokemon trailer"

Zelda is basically roblox or minecraft now. Don't blame me, this is what you people wanted. It's not like the series was doing much before that for a long time anyway.
We've had enough. Enough is ENOUGH.
This was known months ago.
Sure the people on the switch 2 board are bragging about this right now.

"And I paid $120 for it too! Because I'm not poor!"

People bitch about Suikoden and its lack of character development for minor characters and oversaturation AND forcing you to use party members so that in a normal playthrough you can't feasibly use all your recruits all the time.
Who complains about that? 3 people on the suikoden reddit? lol.

except not all of them are usable in combat
I mean, what's the point of even posting this? We can just extrapolate this to the number of characters you can use in battle is still much higher than 14. This isn't the gotcha you thought it was.

Not many games yet. I went ahead and bought a Switch 2 anyway because I know this holiday season, especially with a new Pokemon game, they are going to be impossible to find.
I don't know where you live but over here you can order from any major retailer with no problem or restriction now and store shelves are lined with switch 2 units at the moment.

I doubt that pokemon game is going to sell these out. It's only July and stock is high now. Pokemon legends aren't as popular as the main generation games and it's already playable on the original switch. I don't think is going to cause a drastic sellout that you envision.

People are enjoying playing their Switch 1 games on it right now because the only launch title of note is Mario Kart World (and Deltarune, but that one's not exclusive) and a LOT of Switch 1 games perform much, much better on the 2, even if they didn't receive a specific update to run better. So for a lot of people they're just revisiting older games to see how they compare.

I've used the example of Mortal Kombat 1 playing like an entirely different game on the Switch 2 a lot, and that's because it's a REALLY BIG example of a game that really benefits from the new hardware.
That's a third party game though. I guess I don't get it - if you were concerned about performance, why on earth did you choose to buy that game for the switch instead of any other platform it came out on? I get the argument that some people don't have multiple systems or can't afford them but then I see the prices for nintendo switch 2 consoles, games and accessories and I'm thinking people buying this probably aren't strapped for cash, in the way that they could've have afforded a PS5 in the last 5 years or something.
Like is this the main appeal of the system? I made a topic here a week ago about the switch 2 and a lot of people were defending it by pointing out they were happy playing their switch 1 games again (some of which were 8 years old) or ports of games from third parties that are anywhere up to 5 years old.

Now there's a rumor of a nintendo direct in july, some of you may have heard of that a while ago on here before some posts got moderated, and I'm hearing the same thing, like "wow I hope resident evil 2 remake gets announced'. Is that really what the main appeal of this is, old ports and replaying old games?
Suikoden has 108, don't see people bitching about that?
Fake news. You stole this from resetera like you always do?

He's probably on the switch 2 board bragging about how much be paid for the switch 2, accessories and games too

"I Just dropped $120 for the switch 2 version of breath of the wild even though I already own the game! Because I'm not poor!"
All part of the plan to keep people poor and in indentured servitude to pay back their bills.

It already happened on 3DS. That's it. There's nothing more to do.

God can we please stop asking for yet another?
Difference between a port/low effort remaster and something that's obviously a full remake. Like FF9. You got the remaster on playstation already. People want the full remake now.
Zikten posted...
They should just make all the zeldas not playable on Switch 2, playable. Whether it's remakes or just ports

You should be able to play the whole series on Switch 2
They're not far honestly if you include NSO stuff. What are they missing. Twilight princess? That's definitely coming to NSO if they did wind waker.

Yeah but thats a totally different and somewhat boring conversation. If youre asking if an OoT remake could sell well, I dont think anybody would say no.
I'm asking if you think it's real or not.

I'd much rather have a 3D remake of aLttP. Not in the 2.5D style of LA, but take ALttP's map and dungeons and throw it into the BOTW/TOTK engine.
I doubt that but there's probably a decent chance of another 2D remake since that style of game is doing good for them. Either oracles or link to the past would be next I think unless they get really ambitious and do another attempt at a brand new one like echoes. I don't know anything about it though, have not heard anything about any other 2D game.
Glob posted...
I still prefer the original. The remake was fine, but when remaking a classic, it needs to be better than that to top it.
You can disagree but the companies are largely doing this for profit. And with RE4 that's one of their best selling games. Ocarina would probably be similar. And remakes are cheaper and quicker to produce than brand new games.
McmadnessV3 posted...
I know. I'd rather they remake good ideas with flawed executions than something already good.
You heard people saying that about resident evil 4 too though and look at how much of an upgrade that was. Personal preferences aside that was a major update and you probably couldn't even envision it before you saw it because a lot of people thought that game was already good.
VRX3000 posted...
Id rather not. Theres other games in the series more needing a remake. Skyward Sword in particular. Great dungeons but inbetween is just tedious
That game just got that remaster though and I think that's all nintendo is going to do with those games. The stuff after nintendo 64 I really don't see those being remade. Just not worth the time and resources.
McmadnessV3 posted...
Not much point. It plays just fine as is
You hear people say this any time any remake is brought up. Doesn't stop it from happening.

Zelda 2 remake pls
Literally no one wants that. That's why it's not going to happen.
Like a full remake not something like that 3DS port we got.
Looks really boring, don't see what the appeal of this game is at all

Nope, ambivalent means having mixed or contradictory feelings, and I don't find that accurate to myself either.
It can just mean unsure. Such as unsure how you feel.

That's not very polite, you're being unpolite.
I noticed a lot of people here seem to be in a general state of constant anger, possibly induced by doomscrolling depressing news regularly
So what telling a couple harmless lies is a crime now?
I don't get why anyone wants to revisit these old linear games again after the series has evolved now with stuff like legends, open world games like scarlet and violet with actual attempts at thoughtful stories and innovations for the series. I hope we don't get any remakes of these old games. They can take them and make a legends game or similar out of it rather than remake it, if they want to revisit those regions.

Idk why the Leon protagonist for RE9 thing blew up so much when people should be mad that we haven't seen Jill Valentine or especially Sheva Alomar in forever. Unless that's why people were upset. lol
Capcom is doing some really weird troll type marketing campaign with this game. They did a bit at summer games fest where they had like 3 or 4 fake outs before the reveal and now they're doing it with the Leon thing. I guess they're pretty upset it got leaked and ruined their surprise. Oh well.

What currency is that in? CAD? That mostly lines up with US prices, but why the hell are the Switch 1 ports so expensive? 115 is 84 USD
CAD, because people are buying them for that price I guess. They'll charge whatever they can get away with.
