Drizzt I just brought up my point about the graphics because I saw the mention of a not entirely sarcastic 2000 dollar graphics card to be considered a gaming PC.

It would be cool if companies did more things like where the graphics may just be PS3 quality but a lot of organic stuff happens naturally and isn't scripted.

I guess to stay on topic a petabit is the new word heh ok.

I do think there is a point of diminishing returns. I know I thought graphics were really good in the PS2 era lol that was stupid but by PS4 all that really starts changing is lighting and things being more realistic, uncapped framerates? Whereas I generally like the PS3/PS4 aesthetic.

I suppose you could download the steam library that fast, but what's the practical reason to do so. Also I wish life would slow down not get faster. :/

Mad Dogg could be working through the Trails series hehe I didn't realize you could grind in a puzzle game. I guess the word usage is fitting. I suppose my grind/train mindset in games gains something from the experience where as a puzzle game, it's all puzzle MORE better!

Yakuza is a long series, but you can also just skip a lot of shit. I remember when I beat Yakuza 4 and then Yakuza 4 again my completion percentage was under 30/40 percent both times. Also I remember actually missing some stuff with Akiyama when I replayed Yakuza 5 again. I doubt that mattered with the percentage, but the second time I played Yakuza 5 I was pretty sure I missed some stuff with him and I was trying to be thorough with the Haruka stuff too the first time around.

Trails series is a bit odd because you can skip stuff too but the side quests usually aren't so difficult so I generally did them, but wow I am still on Trails serious burn out.

So sez the words of somebody? I should have never closed my topic. That was really stupid. The topic sez it is about the music, that doesn't mean ya'll can't talk about the game too. It can get repetitive. There is so far one only goofy/silly song and the more reflective/down trodden songs can get used a bit too often. I do overall still like the music. The game is a solid 25 dollar effort sold as a 60 dollar Square Enix game that flopped on the Switch to my knowledge.

I will still say that the side quests are extremely well done. Also odd to think this company went on to make Enderlillies. I also am liking this winter zone area as I got farther and I unlocked the prestigious gunner class! Yes more button mashing :P Well it's more fun than holding a button to attack :P Plus you can change ammo.

I knew that was one of his oldest videos but I never watched it. Maybe later. I don't have an attachment to Freeman's Mind because I am not a Half life aficionado, so I just at the moment not sure what that is either. I'm really just into the Game Dungeon.

I only found Ross because of Game Dungeon on youtube awhile ago but I guess he started off on Machinima video. Some flash video crap like Newgrounds. He was on Channel Awesome? hah I didn't know that. Anyhow I don't have much else to say but to keep it on topic! Hey if you want to stop killing games and live in Europe look into his campaign that blew up when it seemed to be over or at least he said it was initially.

The Wii U was good for me and my friends because I never owned a Wii and it did serve a lot of different purposes in that regard. I bought it on a whim during a discounted Christmas in July sale at Best Buy probably around 2016. The tablet was nice and fun to use, but did handicap the technical aspects of the system. I also actually used it to to call up a friend who moved to a suburb outside Las Vegas and we video chatted on the Wii U and drew on the screen and it was silly fun.

As for actual games yeah basically just first party stuff and not much else going for it. Objectively not a GOAT because the library was lacking, but for a casual fallen out of the loop Nintendo fan it was a good time. I have no regrets by that point. Also the UI and the menus and set up is way smoother than the Switch 1. I figure the Switch 2 is similar? I never seen one in action personally.

I never saw it. Was it really that bad? I can believe it being a financial failure, but I never really even see videos where people try to riff on it or review it.

That was one of the most wildest stories tbh I heard about gaming that actually affected real life talk. It was also one of the last things Rush Lambaugh talked about fwiw. That was major news. Scalpers are always around but the fact that people caught onto the Gamestop stock thing is amazing.
Today's the same as ever.
Oh yea a locally owned game place or hell almost a Best Buy would be better for games, I just there is so much punching down on Gamestop it is just a horse that is past its prime. Such an easy target.

I really haven't had a bad experience there. I rarely go ther now. It's just a corporate surviving entity that if I walk inside I am just wondering if they have some interesting ancillary stuff than going there for a game anymore.

I know I don't always see the bigger future picture, also TC you said Ross keeps getting catch and release arrested. Sheesh! ;p I should post that question in his next "hey post in my reddit and ask me questions for the next video" where every single time he gets on camera it looks like he just woke up.

Also I could ask him if he's still working on the movie too. I really just watch Game Dungeon but Ross sure has been around for a bit and cut out his own area of internet personality even if it seemed small.

I'd rather see less Ultimate Team or such microtransactions in sports games. Or just yearly releases where the focus is in the wrong place than see perhaps the Crew not playable again. Or just more Game Dungeon.

Also the Secret World and Funcom are really good examples of a conp8 not killing a game, just leaving it on life support. You can still play I think all Funcom games online it's odd that they leave the servers up.

I am not against the movement Ross started just the timing sure worked to generate actual drama that even I noticed it.

I know it's called Gamestop but switching to other game related merch and things does probably help get people in the store. Ya can just order any physical or digital game online or get in a pre-order digital fight over limited prints.

Or go to Gamestop and I dunno maybe get a t-shirt or a used game like Root;Film. Which I didn't buy, not my thing but browsing stores used to be fun. I browse steam even if the AI generated results are unusual that they think I'd like. "Oh you read a visual novel. Have you heard of Clair Obscur?" Well yea obviously.
Today's the same as ever.
This whole thing is bizarre. Ross makes a final video saying, yea it's over. I was sick of seeing his updates about it (I am not European either so I couldn't sign once or more if I cared). And then all of a sudden it finally blows up where other people cover it so much so I see it in my recommendations and I've seen Ross make another video saying ppl might be going to jail.

I find all this just hard to believe in general. I guess Ross and his Hail Mary video of hey it's over. And that stupid dumb ass at pirate software really lit the late night oils to upset some other internet ppl to make this apparently trigger more emotion at least with other youtubers.

Two people here like it. And I am not sure how real all this is. The game is slow for two chapters. The quests are overall great actually, just sometimes as I said the dialogue is odd. The combat well is simple and easy to over level because farming for a few days in a row in summer just rocketed up my levels. I wish the balance was better. It's basically just a button masher in its most fun moments unless it's a boss fight anyway. All's well that ends well.

All's well that ends well? Granted I was playing this again last night and for some reason I wasn't quite feeling it. I think it is a still decent game especially for a 20 spot. I just oddly wanted to play Stardew Valley again.

^ MVP Baseball 2005 and 2004 were really good. I didn't realize how complex apparently the batting was. This videogame sports discussion kinda sucks now because it's all about microtransactions and gambling. Which I like a good chance of fate but not in sports where it is the major feature and becomes irrelevant a year later.

Basically, EA got the NFL license so in spite of that 2K got the exclusive MLB license for third parties. The MLB 2K games were never that good and since it was just third third party. Sony eventually made their own called THE SHOW!!!! Heh. They have the same bullshit Ultimate team. The Show had some really great presentation, but I feel like it falls too hard on the simulation aspect.

MVP Baseball or even baseball. I just want to swing some bats without so much pageantry.

Not my alt. Which is weird for me to type, but I did close a topic about this game. This topic was made by a perpetual line stepper. (heh) to my knowledge. I remember I would just have 20 bells ringing because they were just silly board hunt posts. And now I have none so just. I don't want to dump much personal stuff here, it's just sometimes I'd notice when someone pops up my topic for not what I want and figure, I'd just close them on CE if I make it. This does fail on other boards where it just rots in my AMP now. So meh. This game inspired me to play Stardew Valley more which is odd but I like it and glad I am going to work through overtime for the price I paid.

It was solid, but I also really liked Bases Loaded.

Baseball Stars though would let you simulate a whole baseball "season" and create teams and players. I remember back in the day my friends and I would try to fill out an entire roster with our ideas. Also you could have male and female players. So Final Fantasy didn't have many characters back then heh but it was fun to just maybe make your so called friends or whatever thing that sparked the interest at the time.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Baseball Stars on the NES. That game ruled. It was so advanced for its time.

I guess for oldschool Super Dodgeball on the NES which could be a clunky mess was a monumental game. Dodgeball is a sport right? :P Don't tell Sam and his Blaster shot it isn't. (I hope I got that right).

I actually don't really like any of these. The NA Box art everyone is just super pissed off. I guess that was the culture at the time? Heh (hmmmm). I'm actually just not going to vote, but still comment and say I'd probably vote for the GBA covers. Even the Japanese cover sure they didn't try to do some artistic expression it just feels too zoomed out and a bit boring.

This one is interesting because the European one is the most accurate but it really doesn't pop at all. While Japan and NA took the more abstract approaches of trying to make it look more like a horror game.

Ironically I think that movie would have been better received if it was about Dash instead of Han.

You might be right. Too bad Disney decided to make all non movie content not canon. I might have fricked up that initial post about Han Solo. It seemed like people preferred Disney didn't try to give him a backstory and they cancelled the Boba Fett movie too. OH NO!!!! I wanted more Boba Fett! Heh fanbases are fickle.

Shadows of the Empire starred Dash Rendarr! I never played it all that much but it reminds me of Dark Forces 1 back then. Star Wars games occasionally were getting better but a lot were still hit your head against the wall and pray and hope the soundtrack or some atmospheric element carried you through the game.

At least SotE had the n64 uniqueness fall back upon. I am not sure if it showed up in some collection? I watched a video about it and GoldenEye it ain't.

I didn't finish chapter three fwiw, I have another town left but I was doing the spring and summer towns at the same time. And it turned fall several days ago, I was trying to set up some crops and complete some minor quests before I got too far ahead. It's an excellent game I do think in its structure and story telling so far, though there are some stilted dialog choices. The running animation looks like someone just hit 3wd on the engine (I honestly don't like those speed up mechanics at least constantly makes the game look terrible).

SO here are some choices:

"It's terrible it happened, bad things are happening in town. Edited a bit because of lighter spoilers and sometimes your responses are: What's terrible? I don't understand? or I want to help!"

I still like this game so far quite a bit. I just don't want anyone thinking this game is amazing, but I feel like it got overlooked and dumped on too early. Buy this game and make Livewire make another Harvestella though I am sure Square Enix own the name and don't like it since it was a money pit.

That piercing noise seems unnecessary. It falls into the background of the music at :38. It's a nice ditty. Turns into this maracas rock. It's really not bad. It gets funky, but it's still a game I only know because Taito published it and was posted here.

The story is really good too but you need to play further into it to get the whole story. It really gets quite esoteric and abstract right near the end.

I get it so far at least I think I do, but I hope it doesn't do a FFT sorta story at the end, but regardless of that, I feel it has been a nicely designed game. The farming is fun sure it's not very complex (has some nice QoLs though eh!) and the combat is rather basic. Also easy to overlevel (meh on that but it wasn't complex anyway) just farming for a couple days sent my levels above the regular enemies maybe that was intentional to get me to take more chances on the dangerous FOEs!

This game has exceptionally good sidequests. Not sure how I'd completely be a sourpuss on the game by the end. We should try and sell a couple copies ;P

Here's a song I really liked from the game. I also love the Night theme at the farm. The story does intrigue. I think my topic here archived here, strange because I still wanted to give it praise even if I am playing the indie farming game finally again.

I made a topic about how this is a true hidden gem in the Steam Sale (it's only PC and Switch). I picked it up then and it actually made me want to play Stardew Valley more, which really isn't a bad thing. Even if I am playing Stardew Valley at this moment. I am definitely going back to Harvestella, I just strangely had a strange urge to give Stardew another try even if the combat, graphics, characters, quests (some of this is certainly in a debatable or preference of look state) are worse.

Harvestella has this really well designed quest system were a lot of them are multi layered and you'd do an earlier one and think it's just a one off, like "Oh I heard this house has ghosts" and then that won't be the end of it as you progress the game and will get built upon.

I was shocked to see the company who made Enderlillies made this game, that surely was a bigger game for them and more of a hit with the players of the two. I feel like Harvestella flopped and I don't think it is a sixty dollar game, it's certainly worth a play for 20 despite some awkward dialogue and I suppose just Switch graphics do not hinder it that much.

No, but I get what they were going for in Persona 3 OG even if had its flaws. Now you have some uber nerds on youtube saying well now that I can just control my characters and immediately break the game in Persona 3 Reload and it wasn't the definitive version, wish the AI party control was better.

I was watching the Herd yesterday and they were talking about Nikola Joki and Luka Doncic, they are clearly different players but it kept messing with my head anyways. Mario Kart is probably better though I never played Crash. Kart racing is fun but I never I guess sought it out much more than the occasional Mario version. There is some real shovelware garbage out there involving karts.

Rare really fell far from the name brand they had. Honestly a lot of their early games were kinda shit. Think they put out some sports titles too like Atlus did (heh) but Rare really came into their own in the SNES and N64 era. I know Rare actually did have some quality NES games.

Now they put out some forgettable Xbox games in the past and Sea of Thieves. *Three Stooges noises* Money was stolen.

The people who make videos about these are usually super obsessive and have good tips but they are so into the gacha culture it can be scary. I watched a beginner video and I think upgrading your weapons is a waste of premium currency plus if you don't like your initial draw you can just re-install the game up to 30 times? Surprised there are mechanics for that and that they capped it.
