I was in school when friendster, myspace, and facebook all became things and we were joining all of them to link up with friends after school and keep in touch and all of that. I also remember when I heard how people would use them and talk about them like bringing actual emotions and reactions to school because someone's top 8 didn't have you included or in a spot you wanted.
I thought it was stupid then and think it got even worse now but that's just because I don't put value into the same things most people do so I get nothing out of social media.
