There was a point I really loved ICO but (based on my decade old replay...) it doesn't hold up the way SotC has. And I noted that same thing about the controls.

Now if you want to talk about a "bad" Team Ico game, how about The Last Guardian. Super fucking frustrating to play.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if I felt the same about ICO's controls if I replayed it now (hell, it was fairly obvious at the time), which is one reason I have no intention to do so. Playing through ICO back in the day was the most emotional experience I've ever had with video games, and I have never gone back to it since - it always felt to me like doing so could only tarnish the memory. So it'll stay a 10/10 for me forever!

Absolutely testament to how bold and unique this game is that it's still so divisive two decades later.

(ICO is a 10/10 btw, and that inarguably controls much worse than SotC)
