The US sent a couple million and like three people to Myanmar after their catastrophic earthquake back in March. Went out of their way to shut down the deployment of search and rescue groups, too. Anyway, you can't count the season out until you reach December 1. The 2020 season ran through the entire list of 21 names and went through the Greek alphabet up to Iota. Both Eta and Iota lasted through November (Eta formed on Oct 31) and were severe enough in their impacts in Central America that they were retired from future use for Atlantic storm names. That's why they flipped to an auxiliary list of names instead of Greek letters.
