Im a casual collector and collect cards at my own pace. It helps that Pokmon cards arent the only type of cards I collect. Its sad how its impossible to find Pokmon card packs in stores though. I primarily collect the cards to own and appreciate a piece of physical art, although I would like to learn how to play the card game at some point. I dont understand all these people trying to hoard cards to attempt to make a fortune off it. I would never pay insane prices for a card when that money is much better off being saved up for something more worth it. Shining Tyranitar from the Neo Destiny set is my all time favorite card, but it goes for hundreds of dollars in not even mint condition so owning it is just a pipe dream.
