"anticipated third party and indie" makes me think it's just gonna be like, sword of the sea and cairn again (and maybe hades ii with no substantial news, just it being there because)

maybe if they're feeling bold enough, maybe even a distant like "q3" or "q2 (due to be delayed to q3/4 in reality)" launch quarter for that one game freak game lol

i guess it's also possible it'll just have a ton of japanese stuff arbitrarily prerevealed before tgs but i doubt it

it sucks but i feel like dq12 just might be a victim of their operating losses over the last few years (and therefore now heavy reliance on hd2d and more ff7r)

especially since we still don't know if it's really standard dq or if it was going to be one of their many hybrid action rpgs aping the modern ff model, which we know have basically all failed to meet sales expectations and are probably the biggest cause of said losses lol

I assume Square will have a big 2026 game. Not sure what it is though. KH4, DQ12, FF9 Remake, and new Nier/Drakengard all seem like decent candidates.

More RE9 would be sad since that's been featured in so many events already, but oh well.
