how must it feel to be the browns and jets, who took qbs before allen

or everyone who took people (including the ravens) before lamar

If the Browns and Jets had taken Allen he would have been shit too.

Look at how Mayfield and Darnold improved after leaving!

There are only two QBs I've ever seen go from bad in his first three seasons to suddenly great out of nowhere

if the jets had drafted josh allen he'd currently be a practice squad member on the jaguars or something

i've long held that if the jets had drafted mahomes he'd have been seen as a bust and probably like qb3 on some team right now

that's how badly they ruin quarterbacks

Same with the Bears last year.

Had they drafted Daniels/Nix/anyone instead of Williams wed be in the exact same situation

Jags also ruin Quarterbacks. They're allowed ONE good year, and then that's it.

Byron Leftwich had 2005
David Garrard had 2007
Blake Bortles had 2017
Trevor Lawrence had 2022

Brunell was the exception.

I talk about this with my buddies from time to time

we drafted 1st round bust Florida DT Taven Bryan immediately before Lamar Jackson in 2018

we drafted Leonard Fournette instead of Pat Mahomes

but Lamar would not be Lamar in Jacksonville and mahomes would not be mahomes

Bryan was a bad pick, but we had just come off a Myles Jack wasn't down from the super bowl year with Blake Bortles, so I don't think we'd have ever picked Lamar Jackson.

That was a very good last two minutes played by the Tampa Bay offense.

The first 58...ehhhhhhhhhh. I have paid almost zero attention to the Texans so far this year so I don't know if their defense is really good or if Tampa was just sloppy.

I almost am annoyed with Houston. If anything, they are becoming very predictable in that the team inexplicably collapses off a cliff in year 3 of a supposed "serious playoff contender" window (2013/2020). Kind of a rediculous thing to proclaim only 2 games in, but the vibes are not good.
