Figured I'd make this since some people wanted to pick remasters/remakes for the other topic. Some big ones in here, some not so good.

Bonus question: are there any remakes/remasters you're interested in where you haven't played the original?

I am extremely curious how in the world Dragon Quest 1, even packaged with 2, can be made into something worth paying $60 for, so in that sense I'm excited to play it.

You'd be forgiven for thinking my answer would be either Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter or Metal Gear Solid 3, or even Breath of the Wild's and Tears of the Kingdom's glow-ups. I do love all of these games, and anybody who knows me well enough will be aware of that! For everybody else, well, now you know.

It's actually Oblivion, though. Returning to MGS3 will be sublime, and Trails will probably be a good time. (More excited for 2nd Chapter, but then, I reckon most are.) Breath of the Wild is my favourite video game, full stop, but those aren't big projects in this sense. They'll run better, and look a bit better, and the added features are nifty enough, I guess.

There is nothing like the prospect of seeing Cyrodiil in such a potentially gorgeous light. The Elder Scrolls' world is its main character, and our hero(ine) is about to be hawt.

Or possibly way too mud-filtered. We'll see...

this might be my overall answer if tomorrows presentation looks good and mod community is active.

by the way I might actually try a bunch of modded Bethesda games for the first time this summer, took hours to set up New Vegas but it did look pretty good

From that list the DQ stuff.

Trails and Bravely Default I'm not too sure really needed a Remake.
Think the Steam version of Trails has p good QOL stuff and the artstyle doesn't age badly at all.

Though if BD gets a Remake, then uh I would like for all DS and 3DS locked RPGs that i havent played to get remakes.

The eternal dream. I gave up on waiting so just replayed them on PS2 last year but yeah, even just getting a straight re-release without the remaster shine would be something. They're still trapped in IP hell iirc.

Xenosaga has the unfortunate distinction of being one of few potential remaster candidates who have had a producer publicly go to bat for them only to pop back in later and confirm the company isnt interested.

That was a long time ago at this point, so never say never, but yeah.
