really tho what was that with Mae vanishing from what her mom was doing???
I had no idea either until I saw this excerpt from the episode guide on starwars.com :
The fire is already threatening to consume them all, but its Mae rushing in pleading for help that tips the scales. Mistaking her for Osha and grossly misunderstanding Aniseyas stunning maternal act of protection morphing into a cloud of smoke to envelope her daughter in a mystical embrace, Sol makes a fatal error that will haunt him for the next 16 years.
The witches are not completely without blame. A glimpse inside the mind of young Torbin casts his enchantment in a new light. Bewitched by Mother Aniseya, who seems to reach into his mind to reveal his deepest secrets while controlling his physical form and holding a separate conversation without missing a beat, her hold is more than just a defense mechanism.
I would bet money on Koril being alive, even if not appearing in the finale.
One reminder I saw though that really helps the episode for me is this

I didn't catch it in the moment, like in my initial post on the episode I was thinkingwait sacrifice HUH? maybe they are a danger. Again, just like with the teleportation confusion that I didn't understand, *neither did Sol* so I do like these pieces of the puzzle where they could be earnestly mistaken into concern for a danger that wasn't real.
The execution still isn't great though like, the fact that I didn't catch on to these bits isn't good, and even still Sol's specific insistence on OSHA is baffling
As someone tho who got my mom in trouble with CPS because of confused answers I told a teacher of mine tho I do like the angle of Mae accidentally tipping the Jedi's misguided actions
Lmfao fuck this gave me a genuine laughhow did the power of ONE overcome the power of MANYYYYYYY???
in bad clarifications however there is this:The witches collapsing was in fact their death. It wasn't just going unconscious and left to burn in Mae's fire. Indara also didn't know that her action would result in their death.

Live action Plagueis week is upon us
That does not actually resolve the situation because her other mom is still violently opposed
also Sol did not accidentally kill her? He does it on purpose because he sees scary force magic. that's why he activates the lightsaber.
I had the exact same thought lmaobut yeah the teleport itself is like a video game animation where the character doesn't actually move from their position until the animation is complete lol
but I'm fine with Sol attempting, it's an instant reaction on a mysterious danger... I don't take it as he didn't mean to do it, but that he's very confused at what was happening
It's like, let's just roll out this confusing new thing to the audience with no explanation in a pivotal moment and assume we'll know wtf just happened.
Y'all snatched live-action spidey legs Maul from me after that Solo cliffhanger
the real tragedy is that we won't get more Emilia Clarke in Star Wars (or Marvel)
I Mei be watching it Solo.
And what the hell was with that scent tracker alien sabotaging Sol's ship and causing both aircrafts to hurdle out of control?
