I would be absolutely shocked if the official translation were not better than the fan translation. I mean, the AAI2 fan translation exceeded my expectations by quite a lot, but it's still noticeably worse than any official translation imo
Yeah, I don't think it would actually happen except as a cost-cutting measure just to get the game released over here, and it wouldn't be better than an official translation (although like you said, for a fan translation, it's pretty solid).
