I never got past the button mashing part early into SFA. Like four years ago, I sold the game on ebay, after accepting I would never really go back to finish it.

My Vote: Too many games to choose from. I think I'll give this to Final Fantasy XII , despite the fact that I am not a big of the game itself.

IMO I dont think Gran Turismo 2 NEEDED to make the poll, though MGS getting on there over it and actually tying for lead was very eyebrow raising. Gran Turismo 4, however, absolutely should be on the poll.

Final Fantasy XII looked amazing for its generation, and the seamless on-field battle system was quite an achievement for the PS2 (notably, Square Enix wanted to do that for FFX but they weren't able to back then)

Want to pick one of the Katamari games for the large amount of on-screen models and complex physics engine.

WLK has more going for it but it does have a few notorious lag spots, so maybe the first game.

God of War 2, I thought it was a PS3 game when I first saw it.

btw i will say i hope the dreamcast is still covered, i'd have expected it to get more activity than the other sega systems at least since it obviously did pioneer a lot more innovations compared to them

MGS3 has great graphics and complex systems. However, it does not run well at all on a PS2. It regularly runs at 20fps and dips into the teens. Fantastic game but clearly making heavy compromises.

God of War II

I remember the opening Hydra fight in God of War being one of the first moments where I was really like "holy shit, video games are actually capable of this?"

And then God of War II improved on it
