Where will be you go for a pun outlet now?
So like the policy only bans political topics but not posts about politics. Is there some reason we can't just make some kind of general miscellaneous topic about nothing in particular that just so happens to be filled with a large proportion of posts about politics?
But would a better strategy not just be limiting all politics discussion to the social boards (except where it directly relates to the game or whatever), mandating that the topics always be tagged, and reducing the threshold of moderation while increasing the penalties for things like anti-LGBT sentiment and other bigotry? Seems like that would actually solve the problem rather than just making everybody mad while also making a quarantined extremism factory.I mean the key mistake you're making here is assuming they're communicating in good faith about what the problem is and why they want to solve it.

This was suggested too btwDid they ever communicate to you/the mods why they were doing this and not taking these more reasonable compromises?
Did they ever communicate to you/the mods why they were doing this and not taking these more reasonable compromises?Oh theres no way in hell they would ever say that this is the tech giant way of including bigots when they say "inclusivity".
I mean, I'm guessing the answer is "lmfao no" but...

The answer is "sort of yes but not really". Fandom doesn't want political discussion anywhere, hence the removal of 261 last year. Keeping political discussion until now has been "reasonable" on their part."oh"
"oh"
Okay, yeah, then this is just trying to enforce a negative peace.
Why did fandom even buy Gamefaqs? It's not like they had any plans for it.We were bundled with a bunch of shit that was high on the google algorithm.
yes Fandom is supposed to be a place of joy
No that's femdom
so realistically theres not going to be any reversion of this change because the decision was made three levels above the guy were communicating with and that person is entirely detached from what actually happens hereI mean yeah that's basically how every decision at every corporation works
banned for hornyposting

Isnt it funny how right wing toxicity and echochambers are allowed while if theres a left wing forum its deemed toxic and has to be shutdown for being left wing. The politics board wasnt toxic and people who say it is are just mad cause theyre views are challenged and defeated in argument on there. The truest censorship that happened was shutting down the politics board, not the modding of trolls and right wing lunatics.
Conversely, is "hornyposting" only banning horny posts and not topics of a "horny" nature? Is "Babe Brawl" hornyposting?
Doubt.
I think "hornyposting" is referring to topics such as this one that was closed:
I havent read this thread but I think this will be fineBecause politics is important and its nice to have a safe space to vent.
why would you all want to talk about politics with each other

US election polls are a surrogate for the GameFAQs Contests polls we don't get anymore.Yeah this seriously scratches that itch. Feel like I'm 15 on gfaqs when election day hits.
US election polls are a surrogate for the GameFAQs Contests polls we don't get anymore. This really explains everything about us, doesn't it
arent the mods actually just going to ignore the stuff thats fine though
