So I should watch Z Kai then? First episode is prologue to battle, around 150 episodes? Sure.Ye start here if you're on Hulu
The comedy kids show isnt my thing, sorry.
04) Rurouni Kenshin (2023)Is this really that good? I'll have to pick it back up. I stopped watching when Yahiko showed up.
Well if everyone else is posting a list, I will too! 2014-2023 (currently nothing from 2024 would be on here anyway, nothing from 2013 either).Pretty sad I've only seen number 4 and a bit of 10. I stopped watching seasonal after 2018 lol.
1- Engaged to the Unidentified (Winter 2014)
2- Dark Gathering (Summer 2023)
3- School-Live (Summer 2015)
4- A.I.C.O.: Incarnation (Winter 2018)
5- Akudama Drive (Fall 2020)
6- Sagrada Reset (Spring 2017)
7- Insomniacs After School (Spring 2023)
8- Snow White with the Red Hair (Summer 2015)
9- Girls' Last Tour (Fall 2017)
10- Laid-Back Camp (Winter 2018)
Rascal would've been 11th on my list, so it just barely missed out! I've only seen up to the first movie so there's a chance it could rise in my ranking too.
I'm still salty that series went the movie route and became impossible to follow on streaming.
Pretty sad I've only seen number 4 and a bit of 10. I stopped watching seasonal after 2018 lol. That was when I started watching seasonal anime so yeah, not much overlap! You should watch Akudama Drive though, it's really good and probably has the widest potential appeal out of everything on my list.
Spy x Family that good? Not sure I have access to it, but I should check

Akudama Drive is the Danganronpa anime right?

Ah I lied. I think School-Live = Gakkou Gurashi which I did finish! Akudama Drive is the Danganronpa anime right?I think it was made by the Danganronpa creator, not sure if there's any actual story connection between the two though. I only got 1/3 of the way through the first Danganronpa.
Akudama Drive is concepted from Kodaka (Danganronpa), but it was written by Kaiho (School-Live, Astra Lost in Space, Gunslinger Stratos).I rarely check anime staff positions, so I didn't know the same guy did Akudama and School-Live. I really liked Astra too!
Giant Beasts of ARS is the last original thing he was the lead onEwww, I guess not everything he did was good then. Ars started fairly strong but got worse and worse until it had one of the lamest cliffhanger non-endings I've ever seen.
I would have to include manga in a Top 10 because I read things way more than I watch. First two that immediately come to mind are Re: Zero and Dungeon Meshi, and after that it gets a lot fuzzier.I would have to do so much fucking research for a time-bound manga list lmao
There's been a lot of overlap with my list in this topic so far, but I'm pretty upset that I seem to be totally alone on Sound Euphonium, it's such a masterpiece. Do people actually disagree or is it just lower viewership here than I realize?I wasn't a huge fan of Sound Euphonium and I definitely always felt like that was an unpopular opinion. I really didn't like the melodrama in S2.
I would have to do so much fucking research for a time-bound manga list lmaoYeah that's why I'm not gonna make a proper Top 10 lol. Literally don't have the time for it.

Do people actually disagree or is it just lower viewership here than I realize?Haven't seen it but have heard of it. Based on a quick google search, it's two genres I personally don't generally enjoy: music + cute girls doing cute things. Just not my wheelhouse. I think the only show like that I've watched is Bocchi and I had to be dragged into that by a two-month onslaught of memes.

Based on a quick google search, it's two genres I personally don't generally enjoy: music + cute girls doing cute things.I wouldnt describe Sound Eupho as CGDCT. I wish it was! It's mostly a drama. Whenever I think about the series, my first thought is how one character is emotionally and physically abused by her mother.
....I mean, from a literal standpoint there's some of that of course, but Eupho is a capital, bolded, italicized DRAMA. This is absolutely non K-On.Noted. I might check it out later, but I'm also busy enough right now that I barely have time to experience my favorite genres.
On that note, I would advise caution against anyone starting to get invested in Kaiju No 8.

First two that immediately come to mind are Re: Zero and Dungeon Meshi, and after that it gets a lot fuzzier. My list is probably very different if I include stuff I read. Though also some things would become ineligible due to starting too long ago.
I remember seeing a passionate scene between Kumiko and Reina on YouTube and having my interest piqued. Then I found outKumiko ends up with her childhood friend and Reina has a crush on their teacherand now I have no desire to watch it.
These are both things that do not take away from the passion of the show. They absolutely do take away from the show's quality. There's a reason the first half of S1 is when the show was by far at its most beloved.
There's literally tens of thousands of highschool girls in America who have the same thoughts.
I love Eupho, rewatching it for season 3 just reminded me of that. Certainly the show I'm most excited about this season as well, though it has stiff competition in terms of music shows.
You are definitely misremembering how exactly that all went down towards the end of season 2.Yeah that could be, it's been a few years. I'll probably rewatch Sound Euphonium at some point before continuing the series, maybe I'll like it more then. There have been a few shows in the past that benefitted greatly from a rewatch. Sometimes it helps to know what's coming.
