Once he even did Ultis literally obsessed routine! He also has been quite rude to others on occasion, definitely not on a level with certain others but it has happened.
If you want my personal theory, LMS was genuine when he joined the board, saw how people reacted, then dialled it up as a deliberate troll. The best option is not to engage, which wont make it go away but engaging will only make it worse.
