okay thanks to @ariaofbolo 's recent topic i got hooked again and after having my way with Synergism (https://pseudo-corp.github.io/SynergismOfficial/) for a while I ended up seeking new incremental games and came across these two by the same developer which are both incredible imo:

https://jacorb90.me/Prestige-Tree/
https://jacorb90.me/DistInc.github.io/main.html

I hesitate to use the term idle game for them as both basically never require an idle stretch (unlike both synergism and the game which inspired all of these, antimatter dimensions (https://ivark.github.io/AntimatterDimensions/), which all have certain timegates) - if you can figure out what to do, you can progress with like, a minute or so's wait in most instances

while checking the discords for these games I also noticed there are plenty of mods for both these games AND antimatter dimensions itself, so i'm probably about to jump into antimatter dimensions ng+++ here
https://aarextiaokhiao.github.io/IvarK.github.io/index.html

all of these are browser based, there is a mobile version of prestige tree and of the base antimatter dimensions but neither are up to date with the current browser versions :(

I checked out a few of the other games in bolo's topic, like trimps and magic research but they didn't do it for me in the same way as these games with super satisfying reset cycles and constant activity and new mechanics. seeking any more of these (but please not til i finish rebirth)

i did ngu during the covid shutdowns, and i think i'm good on idle games for life after beating that fully

Now with more bold! Less Italics due to bold
looks cool but i'm fine i don't need a hit right now i don't even have a problem i'm okay i'll check it out after rebirth maybe

anyway that's good to hear, i'm sure if you just opened prestige tree you'd bounce right off it and not lose even 1 never mind 3-4 days of your life

ngu was a year and a half of my life i'll never get back

but i wasn't really doing anything else since y'know the world shut down so i guess its ok

it's actually the appealing thing about the games I linked in this topic that they're only a few days long - if you like, don't leave your computer

Is Runescape an idle game?
[Rock and Stone] <o/
I don't know what Aria topic you're talking about, but if it was about idle games then I'm sorry I missed it!

I've been playing one on my phone for about a year, Cells: Idle Factory Incremental. It started out really strong in the first few months. I liked how it had lots of different upgrade trees. It had mod points for looping, shards, research points, missions, and materials. Plus you could slowly unlock automation to handle most of the busy work, whenever I loop now I just unlock the starships and the game does the rest. It was a great way to kill time at work. In my opinion, though, it has been balanced too much towards the no-lifers who leave it running 24/7 and have programs to click the timed treasure boxes and maximize everything. There's a whole other prestige level I still haven't reached because it requires e1500 mod points to unlock and I've only gone from e1200 to e1300 since December.

I play too many idle games. Like I think i've tried everyone mentioned here already lol

Heres some fun ones on steam that aren't super similar to what you like but might be worth checking out:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1546320/Your_Chronicle/ is a fun one but its more a long term with downtime segments

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1593350/Increlution/ is as well although its more idle and not free.
(Basically think you are in a time loop but as you repeatedly do stuff you get faster and can get further into the loop, and after you do stuff enough you can automate the beginning of the loop but still need to manually do the last part)

Some other shorter ones
https://skynetsimulator.com/ kind of a hacking one where you grow by taking over other servers. Not very long, i think a couple hours at most. Arguably not really even an incremental game

I'm pretty sure theres like 5 versions of prestige tree but it looks like you are playing the rewritten version. I think https://ducdat0507.github.io/prestreestuck/ is supposed to be another good one

This site is good for these kind of incrementals https://galaxy.click/ I remember DodecaDragons being good as well. Theory of magic too but i'm not sure if thats different than magic research

DPOblivion beat us all.

This one just came out a few days ago and it's kinda neat, seems like a "check in every couple of hours" type of game

It has been a while, but my recollection is Make sure you've got all of your IDs, and make sure you've done all of the first four Infinity Challenges. If you already have, then I'm not sure there's much you *can* do. There are just timewalls throughout.
Make sure you're getting achievements too, some of them have good rewards. But sometimes it's just a timewall, yeah
It's tempting to linger in this moment, while every possibility still exists. But unless collapsed by an observer, they will never be more than possibilities.
I can't quite do Infinity Challenge 4 so maybe I'm just in a grind then, thanks!

I did as well but there were certainly a couple of points (Mostly in the 5th and 7th layers, *especially* AI ) where I feel like Steiner lied about it not having timewalls.

like, maybe I'm dumb, but I definitely needed to leave it running overnight or while I was at work a couple times to progress and couldn't find anything to tweak to make it fast.

I also tried DistInc but bounced off it for w/e reason.

I also had some moments like that. Some of them were me being dumb and missing an obvious solution and grinding for no reason, but sometimes just ended up with brute force to get over the finish line. It did feel slightly more like a puzzle game than a pure skinner box
