Whenever I think about Suikoden II, I think about how when I bought it off Craigslist like 20 years ago, the person selling it to me was a really old man and he rode a horse to the office park where we met.

When I played Mortal Kombat 9, I was super hooked on it, until I randomly got some awful flu that kicked my ass for like a week straight.

Once I got better I couldn't play anymore because my mind associated it with being sick
Khal Kirby , warlord of the Super Star Khalasar
PSN/Steam: CheddarBBQ https://goo.gl/Diw2hs
Diablo 2 chat gem

also sitting in the Necro room so I would be at the front of the list and honestly the music was bangin

e: I guess overall it just reminds me of my first apartment
Donny: Are they gonna hurt us, Walter?
Walter: No, Donny. These men are cowards.
Castlevania Judgment: the fact I was such a fan of the soundtrack that I conned my two best friends into buying a copy.

No More Heroes: the judgment I got from dancing around in my room in the frat house to Pleather for Breakfasr and having one of my younger brothers audibly flabbergasted that "I listen to punk music wtf Isq you aren't the type"

Same thing but for Harvest Moon Animal Parade

Halo 2 makes me think of using a broom to communicate between floors of a frat house.

We would do local coop with a cord running through the floor/ceiling vent between floors and had a set of basic messages that could be communicated by stomping on the floor or hitting the ceiling with the broom a certain number of times.

Yeah halo 2 and xbox live in general in my cousins basement always smelled like cigarettes, cats, and sunflower seeds. Ill always associate those smells with og xbox

Have some funny ones

Tales of the Abyss - Never played it, at one point in my life owned three copies of it due to splurging on $10 used games-- remember looking through a backlog pile being like "huh... wha???"

Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening - I only have this game because I borrowed it from a friend jokingly as "collateral" and they lost the game I lent them (I think it was Super Mario Bros Advance or something). Unlike TotA I have played it though. Good game!
No problem!

Halo 2 reminds me of ridiculous French text because we had the pirated prerelease version in my dorm.

I can look at most walls and find a stage I wish I could play on Super Meat Boy.

That happened to me with Rayman Raving Rabbids.

I was listening to E-MO-TION while exploring the Hebra region of BOTW so when I replayed the game on Master Mode or revisited it in TOTK I thought about CRJ

I got to the "rock bottom" point in the DQ11 story the same week my mom died and haven't gone back to it. I really want to now that Toriyama is gone, it might be hard though

I wanted to borrow Tales of Symphonia from my best friend in elementary school, so he brought it to school one day but just put the disc in his backpack without a case for some reason and it broke into several pieces. Then I bought him a new copy for his birthday, but never ended up borrowing it or playing it until over a decade later. Whenever I think of ToS, I remember that absolutely bone-headed decision (who is still my best friend to this day)
MZero , to the extreme

Ogre Battle 64 was a game I lent to a friend. We were tight in middle school and then he moved away, but we stayed in touch. In college, I lent him the game, and somehow it ended up in the hands of his girlfriend, who he broke up with abruptly because she got pregnant (and it turned out the kid wasn't his.) She left their college and moved back home, but somehow wrote me a note -- I've never met her -- promising that she would send the cartridge back to me.

Unsurprisingly, that never happened.
Only the exceptions can be exceptional.
I dont know why, but I have a really strong mental association between Super Paper Mario and Dominos Pizza

like there was a day I had that pizza and played that game but theres nothing really notable about the game or the pizza, so I dunno why it stands out

I looked it up, and it wouldnt even have been around the time Dominos changed their recipe. It would have been totally mundane Dominos that Id had before.
For your Azuarc .
At least Kupo has class and doesn't MESSAGE the people -Dr Pizza
Got another one. Mario Kart Super Circuit I more associate with way-too-early lunchtime because I'd play the versus mode with my friends in high school during it. The infrared on GBA was terrible.

Oh yeah Johnbobb story reminds me

I associate Turok Dinosaur Hunter with motion sickness as I rented the game and got super sick when I played it. And it came back the next day too so it was the game

Not exactly the same because it literally was the game's camera and not something totally external (only game to this day that has done that) but yeah
No problem!

I associate Super Mario Bros 3 with Easter because it's the only game I ever got in my Easter Basket

I associate Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire with rappelling.

Kinda the opposite but I started listening to a new podcast a lot while I was playing Bravely Default 2. So now whenever I listen to that podcast I think of BD2.

God some of these are really good.

Ive got another one.

I always associate Everquest with the band Simple Plan. When I was a kid, my friend and I were cooping Champions of Norrath alllllllll day, and my dad had said I needed to mow the lawn before he got home. Well I didnt, and when he came into the house he walked into my room and calmly, but firmly ripped my PS2 off my dresser and took it, which made my Simple Plan CD that was sitting on top fall behind my dresser and get scratched, totally ruining it. Yes, I was emo about it, lol.

First funeral I ever went to - I was playing through DMC3 for the first time ever. Now I always associate that game with funerals and playing it usually calms me during times like that.
I've decided to put my fears behind me. I'm not going back.

I almost got hit by a truck after buying Suikoden and Suikoden 2 so there's that.

The opposite for me, I finally got around beating Super Mario 3D World while still recovering from the worst flu I ever had (this was like week 3 of still kinda being sick lol that was the worst).

If that flu did anything it made me appreciate how awesome the Wii U was even more lol.
