"And once your hunger has abated / Don't forget your friend who waited / Watched as you endulged your thirst and / Did I mention that you're cursed?"

So one thing I don't care for in general about fansongs, especially fansongs from content that's mainly popular online is that it always feels like it's going through a couple of filters. Like it's not the a song from the writer of the character, it's a song by an internet musician, interpreting the fandom's interpretation of the character. I only really know The Living Tombstone for No Mercy because it went so viral a few years back, but I know they're kind of in a weird spot, since they do work on music for the show, but I don't know how much involvement the show itself has with this. But it absolutely feels like a fansong in a way similar to the Deltarune songs nominated last ranking.

I mean, the guy's definitely evil. He's basically just taking the regular devil/demon role of tricking people into signing contracts so that he can take them to Hell when they die. It's a pretty well-drawn trope at this point, especially for this contest.

As for the song, man, I was really digging it to a point. I am a huge fan of the electroswing genre, and all the verses are so obviously inspired by it that I was really digging it, enough so that I was pretty willing to ignore the very weird syllable accentuation that kinda felt like they were trying to fit sentences into the lines without really planning out how they would flow beforehand. But then the chorus hits, and it was awful. I mean, I'm all for a sudden genre change, but that was bad.
