Coheed & Cambria - Window of the Waking Mind (8:38)

The finale to the album of the same name. I would really like to have nominated the last 4 tracks together, since they clearly are meant to go together. But that would have been way over the limit, both time wise and in number of nominations.
This is interesting--and I do mean that literally, in a "I find this nomination intriguing and look forward to hearing it & seeing what happens" way; Bane nominated one of the earlier tracks from that album, Comatose, so it'll be fun to see how those two songs compare against each other.
I'll also say that I have some interest in the band; Number City was a big hit back at my first ranking topic (and critically underrated, even with it getting a pretty good placement). The Dark Sentencer did not fare as well--I didn't think his singing voice fit a Space Prison Warden which made it a bit harder to connect with [though I'll say that it'd get a considerably better score right now; I may add that as a bonus song that I comment on for fun, though I don't have any real revelations about it. I sometimes use different accounts for different emotional states & thoughts and the bleakness of a prison planet is a tad much for Fluttershy.
Also, the song reminds me of "The Deer Hunter | Ring 7 - Industry" for some reason which is likely giving it a boost.])
Aaaanywho
(...I really need to get my own verbal tic to acknowledge when I've gone wildly off-topic instead of just using Raetsel's, but that's another story), as a band that had one song that I absolutely love and one song that I want to revisit now that I'm more receptive to it, I'm rather intrigued whenever something else of theirs pops up. The fact that it's two songs from the same album--itself a different album than the two songs from previous rankings--only makes things more intriguing.
[..I likely should have saved all this to be part of the song's actual write-up instead of commenting publicly like this. Eh, I'll just copy & paste this over to the actual write-up, it's fine.]
I'll also copy those extra two songs to make a note to listen to them later. We always take time to listen and give first reactions to whatever else people want to show off, so there's pretty much infinite room for post-topic songs. (I'll also listen to the other three C&C songs you reference at some point, though I am unsure when. I'll do my best to give them a cursory listen & see if the added context helps the nominated song, if I have enough extra time to squeeze them in somewhere..)

Post #200 songs should be on the spreadsheet now.
