I don't think I've
ever
used a Bibarel against Cynthia. But Staraptor and Luxray were always mainstays of mine. In Shining Pearl, I think the six I used against the E4 were Empoleon, Houndoom, Mismagius, Toxicroak, Mamoswine, and Vespiquen. Given how the games were set up in Gen 8, I rotated a fuck ton of Pokemon. Hand-picked the six for the E4 but otherwise didn't pay as much mind, which made for a nice challenge.
I know my Togekiss was the MVP in Platinum, and I think I had a Roserade that time too.
