I havent seen an Annihilus yet, but Im a filthy casual tier player so maybe thats why. I never really saw Man-Thing either.

Yeah up here in the CL11000 range where most of us are probably only missing 4-5 cards it was non-stop Annihilus for about 3 days.

But I think everyone went back to Destroy, I'm not seeing him much anymore.

Well I just saw Annihilus and an annoying Destroy deck with 23, PF and Odin where he just destroyed me. Sucks people make such try hard stuff for Proving Grounds, but what can ya do. Im just a simple guy playing Nico Zoo I slapped together for missions really.

Haha, shes got some cool variants at least. Theres an awesome one coming up in a bundle, but I feel like who literally buys a variant for a card almost nobody ever uses because its just a worse version of Killmonger

Got Annihilus finally, 4/4 draws, and built a deck with him.

Played like 10 matches without having a good chance to play him, and when I finally did I realized for the first time that he applies to ALL rows.

I'm getting so sick of destroy decks. It really doesn't help that this deck has been basically the same since the beta.

But if they nerf destroy then junk decks are going to be everywhere. I'm probably in the minority but this meta is awful right now.

Just learned something I would not have guessed (which is why I did it)

Opponent played Electro on Valley of the Hand, then Vipered it over to me.

I played Lady Deathstrike to kill the Electro, expecting it to revive on their side after Turn 5 (she didnt kill the Viper because I had an unchecked Typhoid Mary on the board. Was playing Shuri/Sauron and didnt draw either Sauron or Luke Cage)

Nope! The Electro revived on my side! Live and learn

Well I think I found the Destroy counter. Negative deck with Knull, Zola, Iron Man, Mystique.

I was playing Destroy and he dropped two 40 power Knulls with Zola and doubled each with Iron Man + Mystique on turn 7.

He wasn't even playing any destroy cards, probably just farming the ladder of people playing destroy.

Theres a news story out there right now that Bytedance will be announcing tomorrow that they are winding down operations at Nuverse, which is their gaming branch and this games publisher. Most likely Marvel SNAP will be sold to another publisher, but it is worth wondering how much money they were putting into it and whether another owner would change things up at all.

The story also says that this game has a cult following and was not a commercial hit so maybe their expectations were way too high?

They made 100 million last year which is good for a card game but yeah definitely not reaching the heights of other mobile gacha games. So I could see how the publisher would consider it a failure for not hitting those levels.

Small patch just went out that changed some future releases

Firestar got wiped from release entirely and Blob got moved to her week

So now the first week of December Spotlights are Man-Thing/Stegron/Jeff and week 2 is Blob/Tribunal/Ravonna

Looks like she was potentially too OP

Firestar only looks like shed probably be OP for Bounce or Zoo (lol for now) since her power related to giving 3 power to each card you played last turn. She probably just got moved with OTAs on hold til next year? This doesnt really change my Spotlight plans. Feels like all Im doing in the game now is saving for new cards/variants I care about which aint happening very often

Firestar with Forge could easily add 20-25 power to your board on turn 6 which does sound pretty strong.

If nothing else being a 1/4 is nice for Destroy decks? Makes her the highest powered 1 cost card Venom can reliably eat without needing to destroy/play other stuff first like The Hood so thats something I guess. Could also try Zero + Martyr in a Zoo deck I guess. Her power is just bizarre in a game made around winning though since youd ideally not want to lose the game >_>

Destroy decks are so optimized though I don't know who you would cut just to give 4 power to Venom. Deadpool is usually already at 4 or higher on turn 4 and he comes back with 8 power.

The only deck that makes sense is a Kazoo deck where you're already filling all of the lanes and we all know how well those are functioning right now.

I used to have good success going Psylocke + Titania 3 -> Xavier 4 onto their lane and I'd use Martyr for that over Titania since it's a bit more safe if they take priority

She seems like she'd be good in Galactus decks that want priority too since she'll get eaten anyway

For most of the run I was using Nebula and Juggernaut instead of Shang and Enchantress.

Juggernaut wins a lot of games on turn 6 because nobody expects him but ultimately I needed the counters for Miss Marvel and big destroy cards.
