The dust up is basically you can make a hundred or so branches of the story through the three games to some wildly different beats, but the ending is boiled down to picking between three different colored lights (or the fourth - superior - choice of not picking at all) and it's just poorly handled.
BUT if you can ignore the simplicity and mundaneness of that, it's a great series to play through with some top tier character arcs.
If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?
